Goblin Techies: pub stomping?

Introduction

Before you play techies ask yourself three questions:
Are you okay with the lowest movement speed in the game?
Are you okay with 30 base attack damage?
On top of all this, are you ok with being relatively squishy?
If so then techies is the hero because thats exactly what he's like. Techies isn't all badd though, his mines are some of the most unique abilities in the game. This is a work in progress.

Abilities

Land mines
Plant an invisible mine that explodes when an enemy steps near. The explosion will deal less damage if the enemy is farther away from the mine when it explodes. Mines explode 0.3 seconds after being triggered. If the number of mines planted exceeds the mine limit, the oldest mine will explode. Damages buildings.
Range: 100
Max Mines: 20
Full Damage Radius: 200
Half Damage Radius: 500
Damage: 225/300/375/450
Activation Delay: 1.75
Damage time Delay: 0.3
Cooldown 19/16/13/10 Mana 125/150/175/205

*Easily one of your most useful abilities. They do a decent amount of damage and can easily be lethal when piled up onto each other. This is good for first bloods

Stasis Trap
Plant an invisible trap that stuns nearby enemy units when triggered.
Range: 150
Activation Delay: 2
Detonation Delay: 2
Stun Duration: 2.5/3/3.5/4
Trigger Radius: 450
Stun Radius: 450
Trap Duration: 360
Cooldown 20/16/13/10 Mana 80/110/140/160

*This is probably better to max out later in the game when people can take advantage of it. .

Suicide Squad, Attack!
Techies sacrifice themselves for the greater good, dealing massive area of effect damage. More damage is dealt to units closer to Techies when they explode. Techies' respawn time is reduced by 50% when killed by this ability.
Range: 100
Full Damage Radius: 200
Partial Damage Radius: 500
Full Damage: 500/650/850/1150
Partial Damage: 260/300/340/380
Cooldown 180/170/160/150 Mana 100/125/150/175

*This is a really cool ability that is great for first bloods. Just run up to people and suicide, easily the most troll worthy ability in the game (other than io's ult Relocate).

Remote Mine
Plant an invisible explosive that will only detonate when triggered. Does not damage buildings.
Range: 500 (700*)
Explosion Radius: 425
Damage: 300/450/600 (450/600/750*)
Activation Delay: 0
Mine Duration: 600 seconds (10 Minutes)
Cooldown 10 Mana 200/240/300
Can be Improved by Aghanim's Scepter (* shows the improved values). Increases damage, explosion radius, and cast range for all levels.

*This is really not that good for an ultimate. It dont see much use for it but I understand the thinking behind it, it really needs something more than the fact that it's remote controlled to separate it from the other abilities.

Introduction to playing the hero

Techies is a hard support roamer who runs around placing mines to help set up kills. They takes map awareness and a more than basic understanding of the game (hero/item knowledge). They are very difficult to do well with but with the coordination of a five stack you can pull of some really good mine spots and kills.

For those of you who dont know what roaming is here's a definition: Roamers are Heroes who are focused on warding and map control early game, often scouting territory and spending little time in lanes. Since these Heroes do not need to stay in a lane, they often aid in ganking, especially if they are equipped with a powerful disable. Most roamers are capable of ganking even before they reach level 6, possibly excepting Bane Bane, Jakiro, and some others. Some roamers, such as Zeus, Lina, Leshrac, Spirit Breaker, and Lion, are powerful gankers and may make it their primary role.

Once you get your head around all that techies is lots of fun. Use your land mines as wards (mainly in the rune spots) and set your stasis traps up in the lanes where the carrys can easily take advantage of the 4 second stun. Use your suicide squad attack! to get first bloods or as a last resort.

Pushing

Goblin techies is a pusher, it doesn't matter what anyone else says but you can do a hell of a lot of damage to structures and the enemy team cant do much about once you've placed the mines (even with vision). Early game you set up ganks but late game i recommend you start focusing more on pushing because you become less valuable in team fights in a similar way to heroes like spirit breaker, your good at taking down one target but not 5 at once. This means you dedicate more to pushing by stacking land mines on towers.
