You need to learn how to farm fast and avoid deaths because mirana can't defeat hard carries such as antimage, phantom assassin, juggernaut, sniper, etc. But Mirana is a good late gamer in a team fight and not for 1 vs 1! First you must try to have hand of midas in 5 mins or less then make phase boots and drums. After you get those items you can pick your own orb such as mjolnir, desolator or you can make yasha or daedalus first. After 20 mins you must have manta and your own orb. Then this is the time for hot wars! You will be aimed by the other team so make sure you farm for Black King Bar or Linken Sphere. Also bring portal to escape or quick defense to increase your mobility. Then late game you can have your own luxury items listed but divine rapier is the least recommended item. You can also modify your build with abyssal (leap and stun) or sov (hex and arrow). Your ultimate is a critical weapon for your team war. Thanks, forgive me for my bad grammar :)
Mirana can be a good support but not a pure support like crystal maiden, lion, AA, etc. Buying a bottle is a good item for ganking and recovery. You can build rod of atos, ethereal blade or hex to slow enemy to increase your arrow's chance to hit your enemy. Why not using shiva's guard? it's because shiva's guard is not as effective as other item's listed even it's cheaper. You can make necro to help while team war or pushing lane.
