You are Necrolyte, the hero of all ages, may it be early, mid or late game. He is a ranged hero that can play both core and support. He can play in all lanes as long as he knows what his skills can do and when to use them. Who you are is neglible, because you can be who you want to be. This guide only shows what is the best build for him but because of his flexibility, there are more ways around this hero. In here you will find:
-Synergy between items
-How to play him well
-Why to choose him
-How to build him
Necrolyte is a hero with 2 Active skills and 2 Passive skills.
His 2 Active spells (Active means it can be activated) are:
== Abilities ==
{{Ability
| name = Death Pulse
| image = Death Pulse
| sound = Death pulse
| description = Necrophos releases a wave of death around him, dealing damage to enemy units and healing allied units.
| lore = Combining his monk heritage with his newfound affinity for plague has a menacing result.
| ability = No Target
| affects = Units
| damagetype = Magical
| key = Q
and
}}
{{Ability
| name = Heartstopper Aura
| image = Heartstopper Aura
| sound =
| description = Necrophos stills the hearts of his opponents, causing nearby enemy units to lose a percentage of their max health over time.
| lore = Those who come within a short distance of the Necrophos can feel pestilence and plague in the air.
| ability = Aura
| affects = Enemies
| damagetype = Negative Regeneration
| key = W
Both these skills are lethal and helpful if you want to survive because the first provides damage and heal while the other damages according to the damage lost on an enemy hero
His 2 Passive skills (Passive means they dont need to be activated or involuntarily activates) are:
}}
{{Ability
| name = Heartstopper Aura
| image = Heartstopper Aura
| sound =
| description = Necrophos stills the hearts of his opponents, causing nearby enemy units to lose a percentage of their max health over time.
| lore = Those who come within a short distance of the Necrophos can feel pestilence and plague in the air.
| ability = Aura
| affects = Enemies
| damagetype = Negative Regeneration
| key = W
}}
{{Ability
| name = Sadist
| image = Sadist
| sound =
| description = Necrophos gains hp and mana regeneration for killing units. Hero Kills give 10 times the bonus.
| lore = Poor souls who succumb to Rotund'jere's plagues are recycled for future use.
| ability = Passive
| affects = Self
| key = E
These two skills are meant to heal you and kill your enemies. The first one kills your enemies for you as long as you are around while the other heals you when they are killed by you. They are excellent skills considering your active skills.
Necrolyte can be seen as a hero of small damage if you look at his skills, but he packs a punch with more time in the fight and with the items I will show you.
First of all, dont fight early but dont stop harassing.
Necrolyte is ranged so attack them without care, spam your first skill or just be around with your second. You are killing them without doing anything but add your auto attacks and death pulses and they will hurt, a lot.
When to fight? Get your Ultimate
Necrolyte can kill anyone at 30% health early game with his lvl 1 ultimate, so dont be a wimp and leave if you can use it because this will regen you anyway. His ultimate gives the enemy 30 seconds of respawn time added to the original respawn time so it is never useless. Try to gank mid if you are not at mid or gank other lanes if you went mid, this gives more chances to kill because your allies will provide more damage.
What comes next?
Necrolyte is known to be a snowballing hero(Snowballing means that feed him once or twice, it is fine, get him farmed quickly and you loose everything) because of his skill synergy but what can you do to make it better? Items.
Orchid Malevolence
Give Necrolyte an orchid of malevolence because it provides silence and damage based on the damage they took during it's duration.
Now imagine a sniper at half health is in a lane, farming. You have your orchid with you, you silence him then ulti him then use your first skill and attack him. He dies afterwards or if somehow he didn't, the orchid gives your enemy a damage of 30% of what you gave him and then he dies. EZ game, EZ life.
Next comes Dagger
Simply like the first one, except he cant run
Then Aghanim's Scepter
Aghanim's scepter gives him an upgraded ultimate that makes the enemy killed a NO BUYBACK STATUS. He can't buyback, no backup for the enemy team if one of them dies with this skill on them.
Now imagine the same sniper, fed by your ally OD who is a noob, well, everyone is a noob until they own you right? so now this guy attacks your tower at half health. You blink in orchid him then use your ultimate and 1st skill. He dies with about 120 seconds in his death timer and you push their barracks and win the game.
Nothing can improve this right? WRONG
3 items can help you win better, these items are refresher, ethereal blade and lastly, Dagon. Refresher is the best because you can do it twice on two different heroes, Ethereal Blade amplifies the damage you give and dagon makes them lose more health befre you ulti so all are great.
Well it is simple,
if they have squishy heroes, get your dagger then dagon.
If they have magic damage dealers, get orchid
If they are mostly physical damage dealers, then get dagon
If they have invi heroes, then get orchid
If you dont know what to get, get both
THE ONLY TWO ITEMS NEEDED ALL GAME ARE:
Dagger for mobility
Aghanim's Scepter because why not?
Play him every game if you want but the only ones who will own you are mana burners or those who get, take away your mana and those who silence you, other than those you are fine so PICK HIM.
Get your friends to pick heroes with:
High damage or
Stuns or
Amplify damage or
anything that can make them stay still for awhile so that they cant stop your ultimate
