Introduction to Illusions

Illusions are summonable units of most friends or foes that to the opposition to the owned illusion, seem insanely similar to the unit, visually and can sometimes offset or confuse enemies. Illusions are more based on psychology than on threat to be effective. There are TWO main types of Illusions, those being: Mirror Illusions and Threatening Illusions.

Pre-Guide, I want to inform you that if you have any further questions or comments after reading, please notify me.

Mirror Illusions

Mirror Illusions are summoned through active items or abilities and offset the user to confuse foes. Evidently, these are use as escape mechanismes or to dodge single-target spells that otherwise, would result as death. Mirror Illusions also provide momentary invincibility and dispel most debuffs, acting as a way to too avoid AOE nukes.
The FOUR of Mirror Illusions are:

    Choas Knight's ulti - Phantasm
    Manta Style's active (Ranged hero)
    Manta Style's active (Melee hero)
Naga Siren's first ability - Mirror Image

Threatening Illusions

Threatening Illusions(unofficial term) are Illusions with (for the most part) solely designed to deal as much DPS. As I mentioned, Illusions are more phsycological impacts than threatening impact and this is still true, as Threatening Illusions mostly amplify the DPS, and provide a place to hide thus, making them another way to fool enemies or scare them, thinking that they are getting ganked. The TEN Illusion creating abilities/entities are:

    Dark Seer's Wall of Replica
    Morphling's Replicate
    Phantom Lancer's Doppelwalk
    Phantom Lancer's Juxtapose
    Phantom Lancer's Spirit Lance
    Rune of Illusion
    Shadow Demon's Disruption
    Spectre's Haunt
    Terrorblade's Conjure Image
    Terrorblade's Reflection

What can Illusions do?

Illusions cannot use active abilities and will be weaker than the actual hero and will not earn raw damage, armor, regen, most item orbs, cleave, block, magic resistance from items, maim, Linkin Sphere's spell block, Sniper's Headshot, Riki's Backstab, and Slark's Essence Shift but, will use attack range changes like Sniper's Take Aim, attack speed bonuses/buffs, attribute bonuses, crits, HP, MP, evasion, Diffusal Blade's orb, magic resistance from abilities, base magic resistance, MKB's True Strike, boots except passive from tranquil boots, Quelling Blade's bonus, Radiance's orb, Gem's True Sight, most orb effects from abilities like AM's Mana Break, auras except attack speed or speed, and most buffs.

See dota2.gamepedia.com for more on passive abilities and buffs illusions can use.

For more information.

Although I will not go into more information about the different abilities and their various Illusions, I do recommend the Dota 2 Wiki for more information on Illusionsand I do advise searching for more on DOTAFire.

This has been falBr | The Phun and my guide, and I do hope you use your new knowledge in your next games.
