Hello,
First, sorry for my bad English.
And also this is my first time creating a guide so sorry for the wall of text!
I created this guide because I think Elder Titan is a VERY strong hero but has no fixed build even among the Pro and is surprisingly unpopular.
You may not agree that he is a mek carrier but hey, I totally think he is. With his natural order aura and bonus dmg from spirit, you need to get up close and personal to deliver to his limit.
Furthermore, Mek is an item that have the potential to turn fights in the mid game and believe me, this guy can turn fights.
I will keep this simple so here we go:
First, take a look at your team and the opponent team and answer a few question:
- OMG no support! -> Buy chick
- 2 supports? Nice, can I have a ward? (Beg for it!) -> Use it to block the pull camp
- Enemy team have a lot of range heroes? -> Stout
- Enemy team have a lot of melee? -> Culling blade, full greed!
After that try to sneak in the enemy jungle, while they busy contest rune place the ward (Sneaky!) and get out so you dont get immediately dewarded.
ET can be an effective offlaner because of his ability to farm from distance as well as high mobility that benefits a lot from early levels.
The point of offlaner ET is his potential for dmg from his aura as well as his ultimate (If it hit)
It is not as hard to hit as you think, you can either use it as a follow up to someone initiation, or be sneaky and use it from the tree or high ground. Time it so it will hit the enemy with the later half of the ultimate (you get what I'm trying to say..) to give the opponent less time to react.
Try to farm with the spirit and occasionally make use of the bonus dmg to harrass opponent (aka: Run in and punch 'em) when the situation allowed.
Always bring a TP as I say this guy aura and spirit can be the difference in any early team fight.
Try to get your mek and drum up and start working on your luxury item of choice!
If things go well:
Get BOT and join all the fight you are capable of. Hero like Tinker, Lion, Lina.. are your greatest friend as they capable of doing a world of hurt from distance with your aura (also from distance). Otherwise, heroes likes Ursa, PA, Juggernaut.. will also benefits from natural armor reduction.
In general you want to pair up with hero that can deal burst dmg, disable and start looking for kills.
Get your S&Y and be an absolute race car(your spirit will be one also!) or Heart and some armor such as Cuirass or Shiva and just go on a rampage.
To be honest I don't like ET as a support because you are really missing out on some fun and your impact will be largely delayed and you have to play so sneaky that he is not fit to be any kind of titan.
Support ET specialized in disruption to save his teamate, set up a gank as well as provide his aura which I think is totally super underrated.
Buy wards and place them accordingly to the situation, I will not teach you how to place wards as there are other guides for that.
Try to always be there for your carry or midlaner when they get ganked.
Get farm occasionally for the mek.
Don't waste your ultimate because it has a very long cd and can be easily dodge if saw from faraway.
Most of your usefulness come from landing your ultimate if you are a support so try to follow it up with somethings to guarantied some kills. Saving teammate with echo stomp, mek then turn the fight with an >3 man ultimate is a huge play!
I have had a lot of fun games with ET and it really pains me to see how unpopular this hero is.
Hopefully this guide will help ET get some spotlight someday.
Secret.Bigdaddy or Notail is an amazing support ET you can search and learn from his replay.
And Good Day!
