Introduction

Riki is supposed to be a nooby hero. But I say no to that. I feel that Riki, if used right, can be extremely good. I'm supposed to put the lore here, but I'm too lazy for that.

Items

For Items, you want to start off with boots of speed and a ring of protection, which will build into tranquil boots. These are really good with riki, as his invisibility should protect him long enough for the boots to take effect. Middle game, I would buy a daedalus, because the crits are useful with his ultimate. Riki is an extreme nuker, who will gank easily and quickly with his passive. Try to buy damaging items, to increase the power of his ulti, which is useful for team fights. If you are going for a troll build, try getting radiance as soon as possible, it can be really beneficial against heroes with minions, like brood and nature's prophet. If you aren't dying as much, try getting a gem of true sight, to take out enemy sentry wards.

Skills

To start off get a level of your passive. Use this to get a rune which is surrounded by enemies. This would be really beneficial, as it allows you to get your tranquil boots faster. Start upgrading your blink strike and passive, and getting your ulti whenever possible. Smokescreen isn't really effective early-mid game, because without damage, the slow is useless, so try to put those points into stats, for bonus damage. Late game, the smokescreen is helpful for ganking, as it silences and slows, allowing you to get major damage from the start.

Late game- Defense Items

If you find yourself having to defend towers more than push. get a battle fury, because cleave is very effective against creeps. Stacking camps isn't really an option on riki, so don't try to pull lanes. Buy a pair of travel boots, to get around the map quickly, upgrade them for easy ganks. Remember, Riki is a gank, so if you see your teammates getting destroyed, jump in and try to help, but don't die. The most important part of Riki is not dying, because you don't want to lose gold, which could help a lot.

Teamfights

Riki is one of the best heroes for team fighting, because his ultimate easily splits up a team, as each hero tries to escape it. If there is a 3v3 or 4v4, time your ultimate for the maximum damage possible, try to include all enemy heroes within it. If you can do this right, triple kills or ultra kills will be easy.

Summary

Overall, I would recommend riki to people who don't want to die as much, but still want to get large killstreaks. If you play this build right, you could get up to 40 kills with no deaths. A final tip, Always remember. Riki should never die. If a situation seems too hard, just run away, or wait for a team mate. Its better than running in and dying uselessly.
