Unfortunately tracc that's somewhat true of all caster type heroes - certainly it makes it harder to get off a perfect ultimate, or forces you to change your targets. Remember as the game wears on that the BKB time will fall to 5 seconds instead of 10, and that gives you more chance to be useful.

Maybe you should mention that disruptor becomes useless when the enemy make BKB. Its soo frustrating. and ofc any form of magical immunity makes it possible to ignore the kinetic field... IMO that is his greatest weakness and limits his usefullnes.

About skill build, don't worry: I just like playing Dirsuptor maxing out Glimpse first because it works wonders in trilane, but it seems that the Thunder Strike build is very common in pubs.

Talking about the items, you're right: I usually pick stuff like Vyse when I'm 45-50 minutes into the game which doesn't happen very often; Ghost Scepter or Force Staff, for example, give you more stats or survivability and can help you from mid to late game, that's why I like them.
As an experienced support player, here's my +1. :D

Thanks Peppo - that makes sense - afraid I'm out of date on tournament builds :), but wanted it in there as a "standard". Will look at updating to make the Mekansm a bit more prominent - usually it would be the first (possibly only) big item you go for.

Shiva's Guard I've added to the luxury list - tbh I almost didn't want anything on this list as none of it strictly works properly for him (Shiva's has nice stats but not sure Disruptor is the kind of hero to make best use of a short ranged AOE nuke), but figured situations do arise where you might think about a luxury or two.

He really doesn't need items past arcanes really (obviously utility stuff is always useful), so I didn't want to encourage people to try and play him with a huge item list.

For the Glimpse early build, which is the standard build for tournaments, people usually do W-Q-E-W-W-R-W-E-E-E-R-Q-Q-Q-S-R-S (if I remember correctly), sometimes just leaving one level in Thunder Srike and maxing out stats until level 23.

The item build is nice: maybe you should add more emphasis on the Mekansm unless someone on your team is already going to buy it, but the extensions and luxury items are good. You may want to add Shiva's Guard, though.

P.S - Welcome any input on the Glimpse early build, what's the standard way of levelling this?
