Starting items are not included, I always get quelling blade as a starting item... Phase perferably, but it really depends on how much farm you get...

It is agreed that Darkness is not effective at level 1.
It is a common practice to skip Darkness for Night Hunter at level 6,
Night Hunter helps gank/roam alot more than Darkness at the first night.

If you really want to carry as night stalker I don't think that a scepter armlet build is the best way to do it. I think you should rush the bkb, then go abyssal blade and either deso or AC. Just my opinion i think the bonus vision is awesome but it doesnt help you carry. The stats are nice, but those won't really make you a carry to be feared.
