Grab a sobi asap to grant mana, then go P. Treads, Null, Null
Keep on biting and nova'ing creeps, and last-hitting like a boss. Clarity and all the stats will help here. You can stay pretty far to lh, so you are safe. Just time your attack to our IMPRESSIVE attack animation. xD
Then go for a BKB, Force Staff (dmg, mana, chasing, all good!), Guinsoo, and finally, when you are already smashing faces and with high income, Heart of Tarrasque.
The only way I see CM carrying a game is if shes able to snowball with her spells early game in order to get the right click power late game. Her only decent damage spell is her ult. She can't start spamming her ult because she is fragile and she will get interrupted easily
I'd ask you to get a force staff rather than a Shadow Blade since a Force staff is cheaper. The very first things I'd get would be Force staff and BKB (maybe 1-2 bracers and boots) for a fairly safe ult. After that, CM just needs to get any carry item. A midas would be there to help her snowball.
TLDR: If you try to build CM for damage mid game, I don't think it'll be as effective as building her to use her ult.
You should cut the hands of midas for a BKB, and daedalus for agnihims and get ulti.
You can SB into them, pull off an insane ulti, get them all close enough to death to just crystal nova and they'll all die. Of course if you don't die first, so pop BKB or something before you start it. Either their team all dies, best case scenario, or they all scatter off and you can just pick them off solo. Either way it's great. But CM doesn't have great movement speed so I usually, probably stupidly, keep Tboots the whole game. A heal and good movement speed, but this is probably better because they have to come to you while you're mowing down a tower or something.
@hades you're right about the BKB bit but it is hard to get raw damage and attackspeed on an int hero, which is why i included the SB.
As for Sceptre/Ulti, im trying to get an autoattack DPS build which is why ulti isn't needed. Besides on most "Traditional" carry heroes like Jugg the sceptre isn't always that useful as there are much better luxury items.
@Jonathon
In the early game you should be getting last hits and if that doesn't work, your Q can be used to clear creep waves and your W is great for jungling.

Also, you didn't add Black King Bar, without it, your ultimate will always be interrupted.
You're gonna say Shadow Blade is for that, what if they enemy team has a Leshrac?
He can still stun you. Black King Bar is way more useful.
Also, you didn't level up ultimate? It deals a massive damage if you get Aghanim's Scepter.
How do you even expect to 'Carry' without it?
