Armlet of Mordiggian is a EXTREMELY efficient composite damage item, and it has synergy with Urn of Shadows, which has synergy with Night Stalker as a hero.

Night Stalker is a ganking early-mid game hero. He is one of the best if not the best gankers in the game. He should aim to snowball very hard early-mid game so he can do something late. Helm of the Dominator IMO is not a core on him, because it does not give any useful for Night Stalker stats. Sure 20 dmg is not bad, but till the time you get it it won't be very useful. That's why ppl get armlet. Because it offers the early game dmg you need.

Bottle> Phase Boots/ Power Treads> Urn of Shadows> Armlet of Mordiggian~

What 20 damage + Lifesteal and armor not good enough for you?

Well, yes. But, Helm of the Dominator doesn't give you any DPS for securing kills, which is the main thing that you lack up to this point. I get Helm of the Dominator after the Urn of Shadows and the Armlet of Mordiggian.

^ Actually I think that Helm of the Dominator is there so that you can jungle at day as there is nothing better to do for Night Stalker and it also builds into a Satanic which is great.

The guide formatting is decent, the content is relevant, and the build is okay. I would like to point out, however, that a Helm of the Dominator is a farming item, and not a ganking item. Usually, you would get a Urn of Shadows with a Armlet of Mordiggian. The two items work really well together because not only are you a ganking strangth carry, but you can heal up with the urn after you finish killing someone if Arm;et leaves you at low HP.

If you insist on buying it, you should add a section on stacking with a HoTD, though.
