Slark is a fast pace hero with A LOT of potential if u know how to play him right. Slark is best as a midlane pick but if you don't think u are skilled enough than go top or bot lane. Slark is what i call a hunter because he is extremely strong in the mid game and pretty strong in the early game and so my tip to everyone is USE THE ADVANTAGE AT THE BEGINING because Slark gets really undermined in the late game.So its about snowballing and trust me you can if you want to with Slark.
Pros:
Really good early game/mid game
Destroys tanks
Is a really good ganker (i think hes the best in the game)
Good at escaping
And really good at farming creeps because of his natural hit speed
Cons:
Really low hp
Not good in teamfights
is quite bad in late game
Dies to alot of big aoes
In this chapter im gonna talk about the differendt uses for slarks abillitys.
Slark's abillitys consist of:
Dark Pact Dark Pact
After a short delay, Slark sacrifices some of his life blood, purging most negative debuffs and dealing damage to enemy units around him and to himself. Slark only takes 50% of the damage.
Its a great way to remove debuffs some of the uses ive found is for example when bounty marks you and you are low then you can't regen but if you dark pact it removes it it's a great way to just remove a lot of things and its a great creep remover. When you are fighting you typically Pounce Dark Pack and then go to town with essence shift.
Pounce Pounce:
Slark leaps forward, grabbing the first hero he connects with. That unit is leashed to Slark, and can only move a limited distance away from Slark's landing position.
Pounce is your most important skill (thats why we lvl it up first) its the engagement and the escape tool of Slark and its the thing that defines him. So theres a lot of uses for it and i see a lot of people misuse it for example if you are radiant and pushing mid lane instead of jumping back with pounce jump up to dire jungle because then u are out of sight and can regen and theres more time for u to escape. Remember there a lot of ults u can escape u can escape Kol and mars's coloseum and a whole bunch of other ults.
Essence Shift Essence Shift:
Slark steals the life essence of enemy heroes with his attacks, draining each of their attributes and converting them to bonus Agility. Steals 1 agility when an enemy dies within 300 units with the debuff.
This is your bread and butter with slark when u have a character like Slark who has a natural high attack speed and an abillity that hits harder for every hit its a recipe for succes the reason why we lvl it up first is so u can be more aggresive and take enemy rune.
Shadow Dance Shadow Dance:
When used, Slark hides himself in a cloud of shadows, becoming immune to detection. Attacking, casting spells, and using items will not reveal Slark. Passively, when not visible to the enemy team, Slark gains bonus movement speed and health regeneration.
So SD is one of the most powerfull abilities first of all use it ALL THE TIME if u are in a fight and u proc this first of all u can attack and ur essence **** goes up second of all u can't be hit and third u recover health because u are invisible it's straight up ********. If u are mid laning u are gonna run into a lot of snipers and if u get marked with their ult and u are low proc ur ult and use it to gank mid laners because u pounce in they can't escape u deal some dmg then they run to their towers and think they are safe but u follow them u are gonna take dmg from towers but then u proc ur ult and kill them and then quickly out.
