Hi this is very good guide.
I just want to say : "Mana is quite a problem in the early game" : its not if u buy urn. I usually start with 2 gauntlets with 2 branch (yes no qblade or shield omg what a noob iam), i think 850 hp with 5 armor at lvl 1 far superior survivability, and easy to made urn before lvl6 and u have sufficient manaregen and heal to use ulti rightaway when off cooldown if needed. I prefer armlet after that hyperstone (or hyperstone after bkb), i dont really like MoM. I only buying MoM when i stomping hard.
Everything else is really good in this guide +1.
Ohh!I forgot to mentaion that Pugna is a huge counter against Spirit breaker, his Decrepify ability would make it impossible for Spirit breaker to attack for a short amount of time and could be focused down fast by magic hero's pre-bkb because of the Magic weakness that is also within Decrepify.
This is a good, pretty comprehensive guide. I have a few gripes with it though.
First of all, MoM is NOT a very good item especially on a melee hero who is going to be soaking all the damage in teamfights (Lest he prevents the carry from dealing any damage or murders a support). Armlet is better than MoM in almost any other situation other than ganking a solo hero, but that's about it. My point is moot though, because your build revolves around MoM, so i'll have to live with that.
Urn is definitely one of the better items for him to have by midgame. It's not core by any means, but it helps you sustain yourself really well, meaning you can go from gank to gank with little downtime.
In the heroes who counter SB section, i would add a semi-farmed troll(who, after eating your stun and ulti, uses whirling axes and then annihilates you into oblivion) and also mention any hero who makes you miss your attacks(Riki, Balanar, Tinker). Since you are dependent on autoattacks after the initial onslaught, they can effectively shut you down pre-bkb. If you are caught with MoM ON and you can't hit them with your flail then you are dead meat. Any illusion hero or Manta carrier also annoys SB to a high extent(since he is pretty much a tunnel vision hero). Especially annoying is Naga Siren, who can stop your gank with a click of a button without even worrying about hitting you. She can also pin you down for an infuriatingly large amount of time.
Other than that it's a good guide and it definitely deserves another +1.
ENOUGH ABOUT MOM,ARMLET AND URN ALREADY!!!! :P
About the hero counters though, you are right, troll will be a very good counter to Bara,i will add him.But "the heroes who make you miss" will be a problem to ANY DPS based heroes and making a BKB/MKB is a clear solution to this.Instead of adding these guys to the counters,i will just add MKB into the situational items section.About Naga Siren though, its really funny that i actually found a glitch while testing counters with her.If Naga ensnares Bara and Bara uses Charge of Darkness while ensnared, the time required by Bara to reach the target will be estimated and the target will be stunned after this time is elapsed.Even the trees drop their leaves(an animation when Bara charges through trees) in between Bara and his target.Time to make a glitch report to Valve ^^
Thank you for helping me expand the guide and find a glitch :D
As i already said a lots of times, Spirit Breaker is one of those heroes whose skill build can be built in many permutations of ways to find different successful results each time, the build i provided is strictly for new players who want to try Bara. The 2 levels in Empowering Haste will give them the much required movement speed, chasing power and even help your lane partner(it also passively increases your bash damage by a bit).
So if we think about it this way, there can be hundreds of alternative builds and i don't want to list them all in this guide :P
I apologize Charnel, there is defiantly numerous ways that Spirit Breaker can be built, this one by far,is still one of the most creative guides I've ever seen!

This guy explains what I meant to say on my first comment that I recently stated. But the MOM is still an effective and cheap item to efficiently initiate a fight. For example, Witch Doctor with Paralyzing Cask can stun the enemy team while you diminish the other team in a mere quick seconds, run away and repeat. But I can still understand why the Mask of Madness is ineffective at times,I would at least recommend it as a situational item. But for an early player using this build, the mom is defiantly a solid item to use for it's cheap cost and temporary stats increase.

Back to the guide:
I think that Aghanim's Scepter is much more core than situational because you can do much more. I also believe Urn of Shadows is also very core because you need to get a decent amount of heal before you can charge another person. I would suggest substituting the Black King Bar and Drum of Endurance for those two items. I would also like to suggest substituting Crystalys with Armlet of Mordiggan due to the fact that you'll have more life, a faster heal, and you'll pact a much more powerful punch! With the Mask of Madness it will cancel out the effects of the armlet (mostly).
Urn of Shadows is never a core for any non-support hero, the supports should generally get it and having 2 urns in your team will be an absolute waste.About the black king bar,it can never be substituted by any item,it is one of the most game-breaking items ever on heroes like Spirit Breaker who will be focussed down by the enemies by nukes. So its true that Aghanim's Scepter and Urn of Shadows are only situational.

You cannot purchase Skull Basher with Spirit Breaker. You can try but it will just say "Item is not allowed for this hero".Same with abyssal blade.
Its just like trying to get blink dagger on pudge and venge :)
Men! didn't know that.
thanks for the info.
