Quick Guide to Zet

You either randomed Zet, the Arc Warden or you want a basic idea of how to get started with him.

Welcome to the quickest guide of your life.

What Are Skill

Your skills are:
FLUX (Q) a single-target very good slow that deals damage over time. It works only if the enemy is by themselves, creeps included. Max first for highest gank potential.

MAGNETIC FIELD (W) an AoE bubble that gives any allied *thing* except creeps extra attack speed and 100% evasion. THIS INCLUDES BUILDINGS. Use to stop enemy pushes and make yours faster.

SPARK WRAITH (E) a VERY UNRELIABLE single-target nuke like a techies mine. Place in a huge range around your hero, the enemy has vision of it, they must be in its radius for THREE seconds for it to activate. Low cooldown, high mana cost - stacks on top of each other. Lay traps in trees and high ground. BEWARE CREEPS SETTING IT OFF.

Don't use this if you have never used the hero before except for vision and laying traps.

YOUR ULT: Tempest Double - create a clone of yourself that can do everything you can exactly like you can. Everything is off cooldown on this clone when it spawns. Use this to abuse Midas and BoT's.

What Am I?

Zet should be a position 2 or a position 4 hero - a mid hero or a support that gets some early farm through laning or ganking, very loosely translated.

Are you good at mid? Are you good at supporting? And are you good at micro?

Regardless of if you're a mid or a support, get Midas. It will pay itself off in 7 minutes if you use it on the clone every time your ult is off cooldown. Increased gold = increased effectiveness.

Mid

If you want to risk mid, use Spark Wraith to scout runes and Flux to keep your enemy either in range of you or taking damage IF THEY ARE RANGED. Flux on melee heroes is wasted mana because while they're next to creeps they take no Flux damage. Use Magnetic Field to keep tower/you from taking damage, especially if they dive you.

Once you reach 6, fill up on mana and use your clone + yourself to use double your spells and kill the enemy mid. Double Flux, double Spark Wraith, double right-clicks. Magnetic Field over yourself if they fight back.

Gank lanes. Use your slow + slow + wraitih + wraith. Every time your clone spawns, Midas on it is off cooldown - abuse this.

Go for Bottle, Boots, Midas, Boots of Travel, Desolator, Daedalus, Linkens, situational (MKB?). Arc Warden's stats suck, so instead of using them, we use pure damage. It's minimal micro late game, but still try to use your clone's skills.

BoT's let your clone push another lane while you do other stuff.

ARC WARDEN CAN ROSH after Desolator. His clone does not disappear upon attacking Roshan. Use Magnetic Field to tank damage and kill him.

Support

As a ganking support, get Boots and Orb of Venom. Stack, ward, do everything a support should do, and gank lanes using your Q Flux slow and then place Spark Wraiths ahead of them and slightly on them so they get hit as they retreat.

As a lane support, harass ranged enemies with your Q Flux and eventually Orb of Venom. Use Spark Wraiths for vision if you suspect a gank incoming and there are no wards, or to trap the side shop. With good timing, you can also stack camps with Spark Wraiths.

YOU STILL WANT MIDAS. It pays itself off in 7 minutes, so any time the game doesn't look close to finishing, get Midas. Try to get it before you start buying wards and smoke - have the other support do that until you get Midas. Don't take farm from your carry - use it in the jungle if you can.

Use Magnetic Field to save towers and allies. Get Arcane Boots and, with your double, solve all your team's mana problems. Potentially get Arcane Boots before Midas even.

If your team won't, you are a good carrier for Urn of Shadows and Medallion of Courage. Have the clone use it on an ally for a free 7 armor or free Urn charges. Get a bottle/mango/salve on the clone for free regen on people.

Conclusion

He's a micro-intensive hero, but there are things you can do without using micro too much. If nothing else, he is a hero who provides vision, a slow, and 100% evasion. If you can't play him and his clone, literally only use the clone for the second Midas or to push a lane. Don't end up feeding.
