Introduction

This is my first guide so feed back is needed. I have played Lifestealer quite a bit, and in the pub scene I see a lot of people play Naix as a jungler, which is of course acceptable. Since the 6.79 patch with the change in camps Naix has become an even easier jungling hero.

Please let me know if I need to explain things more in-depth as well. Thank You.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Strong Jungler
Survivable
Anti-Tank Hero
Some Burst
Heavy Hitter
Built in Lifesteal
Cons:
Slow
No real escape
(Infest cooldown 90secs)

When to Pick

You pick Lifestealer when your team is going against some high health enemies such as Tiny, Centaur or Pudge. Lifestealer rips these high health enemies apart. Lifestealer isn't enough to carry on his own though. You should pick him if you have a hard carry who has a support and the other lanes are filled with people who need farm, so you can go into the jungle.

Heroes you don't want to put LifeStealer against are those with long disables and high burst damage. Examples of this are Lina, Lion, Shadow Shaman and Crystal Maiden. With these support on the opposing team you wont be able to hit anyone because of you being disabled.

What you do... At the Start

When playing Naix you want to grab your tangos, stout shield, and a quelling blade.
The reason you grab these is because sometimes you need a bit of regen that your feast just cant give you early. The stout blocks damage from camps like the bears, centaurs, and mudgolemns. And the quelling blade helps you last hit which cuts down on the amount of time you spend in each camp making it easier to grab your Midas.

Getting that Midas

Midas is a common pick up now. It gives attack speed and it really helps with exp, and getting gold. In the early game you need to think about which neutrals you are using Midas on. If you are low on health, as Lifestealer you can feast back up, so you want to use it on the little neutrals so that you can heal from the higher health creeps. But if you are moderately decent in health then use on the big creep, more exp will be given, yet the gold gained stays the same throughout.
Phase boots are something I think need to be picked up, because you desperately need to be able to catch up to heroes to kill them. Lifestealer has some issues finishing off heroes because he just doesn't have a way of chasing beyond using Open Wounds to slow.

Your Mid-Game Items

Armlet is extremely important to grab. It give bonus HP and Strength which you need for damage as well as some survivability. In fights you can basically keep it on the whole time because Feast will give you life back to counteract the life drain of armlet.

The AC gives you a lot of possibility for kills. It gives armor reduction to enemies along with attack speed for you. This provides tons of survivability and a lot of extra hitting power.

Why you want these Luxury Items?

Heart lets you keep Armlet on the whole time with out any worry of getting low because of that. In addition it gives you 40 strength which is bonus damage as well as health for you.

Blink Dagger is, like I said Naix needed before, a way of catching up to heroes that are just to fast for you.

Like Blink Dagger, Abyssal Blade gives you a guaranteed stun which in addition to the slow from Open Wounds should guarantee a kill.

Conclusion

This was my first Guide. Originally I started building it for a friend of mine who has played DotA with me since our Freshman year in High School so the basics are already known to us, but if you need me to explain other heroes, with a more in-depth guide to items and why they are used, friend me on steam, and I can coach you as well as give you pointers.

Yours Truly,
AnimatedDecay
