ember is personally one of my favorite hero's in the game, he matches up so well with almost any hero. Most mid hero's right now are magical damage hero's or right click but squishier (invoker,sf,storm, alch). He has a very strong early game in my opinion with chains and flame guard. flame guard can be the difference in a fight vs a hero like storm or pugna. His late game is one of the strongest in the game with slight of fist if the game is going for an hour or more, he can pick up rapiers and deal massive rapiers from a distance.
I like picking up the poor man shield because it gives you that block plus that damage in lane to get those harder last hits. get your bottle as soon as possible and put it back on their courier because embers mana early is pretty bad. If you are finding this to be a serious problem pick up some drums and it will help lots.
Dont get cocky while playing ember because he is on the squishy side and can die quickly if caught out even if you out farm your opponent.
Once you hit level 6 ember is very strong ganking force. right at level 6 has the ability to go into other lanes can get 2-3 kills. when ganking remember to activate flame guard before going in. When not Ganking if you have tp boots farm the lanes before and after battle fury is picked up you can push lanes easily or just farm the jungle.
NEVER BE SITTING AROUND ALWAYS FARM OR GANK.
also if your farming deep in the enemy part of map leave a remnant behind
Late game not much changes honestly just remember when farming deep in the enemy part of map leave a remnant behind. late game since ember is so strong i advice 5 man or split push, but be pushing if you have the advantage.
