Introduction

Meepo Is my Favorite Hero in Dota 2, His potential to carry a game, get level 25 early as all hell, and is in general, fun and hilarious to play, for me and my team.

His story: If you ask me, life is all about who you know and what you can find. When you live up in the Riftshadow Ruins, just finding food can be tough. So you need to cut corners, you need to scrounge, you need to know your strengths. Some of the beasts up there can kill you, so you need a way to trap the weak and duck the strong. On the upside, the ruins have history, and history is worth a lot to some people. There used to be a palace there, where they had all these dark rituals. Bad stuff. If you survived the ceremony, they would shatter a crystal and split your soul into pieces. They made great art though! Sculptures and such. Let me tell you: sometimes you stumble onto some of those old carvings. Take a pack full of those to town and sell them, then get yourself food for a few weeks. If luck is really on your side, you might find a Riftshadow crystal. Get it appraised and start asking around. Someone always knows some crazy fool looking for this kind of thing. If all else fails, sell it to a Magus the next time one's in town. They love that stuff. Still, whatever you do, be careful handling those crystals. You do not want one to go off on you. It really hurts.

It's Meepo time!

Skills, Stats & Roles.

Earthbind

Meepo tosses a net at the target area, ensnaring all enemy units in a 220 area. Ensnared units cannot move, blink or go invisible and it interrupts channelling.

Items

use the Tranquility boots, from the ring of protection, and it's your choice to sell them for treads later on, or keep them, but they don't scale well.

Blink Dagger
Is always optional, in most cases, people know how to blink poof, if you don't know how to, or not good with it, I recommend practising with it, trust me, it pays off.

Now the Orb of venom on the other hand, is used for the skadi. Eye of skadi is a completely optional item if you want stats which is great for meepo, but don't buy it for its full slow potential, it doesn't work with all meepo's, only prime.
Power Treads, After you're done with having Tranquils, upgrading to treads is an amazing boost, Meepo requires stats, and treads give him them.
Aghanims Scepter, Is important on Meepo, I encourage you to always buy this items, no matter what role, or position you play, I can't stress this enough to buy, It's Meepo's life and soul.
Vladmirs Offering, A great way to do roshan earlier then most teams, Be warned, Vlads scales poorly, and other items can be much more efficient.
Heart Of Tarrasque, Meepos Core health builder, Now, you get a decision, Build 3 more hearts, or buy Ac, Skadi and other efficient items. A heart before 30 minutes its great, but after that it becomes more and more Annoying to farm.
AC, Assault Cuirass is excellent on meepo, The armor and Debuff allows you to turn into a machine.
Eye Of Skadi, The stats on this bad-boy will make meepo great for your gameplay, 25 all stats :D it's amazing.
Mekansm, I recommend only picking one up if no supports will.
Drums Of Endurance, This item is the same as mekansm in which you only buy if no-one else will.
Aegis of the immortal, Can be picked up really early from meepo, vladmirs is recommended for helping this.
Travel Boots, For the late game is recommended once you're 6 slotted and can't carry tps.

Pros / Cons

Pros
-Fast leveler
-Fast Farmer
-Great early to middle game potential
-Hard to gank without stuns
-Big threats to teams without carrys
-A scary enemy
Cons
-Earth Shaker, Sven, Kunkka, Magnus will hurt meepo
-Easy to counter and shutdown
-Needs a strong supporting team
-Can't be relied on to solo carry a game
-Needs a heap of Micromanagement skills to be any good.
-Extremely hard to play, Pros struggle with meepo

Creeping / Jungling / microing tips

Meepo, Once 3, you can Tackle the easy camps, with tranquils it allows him to regen mid jungling, I recommend just doing easy camp until you get 2 clones, that way you can survive the jungle a little easier. Using the meepo thats in the easy camp can be great for ganking either middle, or Safe lane (Assuming you're in either one), Make sure you communicate with your team, tell them you're taking the easy camp, just incase your supports wanted to stack, or pull. Once you have about 2 Meepo clones, and a blink dagger, I recommend ganking, Queue the poofs, Blink in and net, you should have an easy kill, if you either communicate wtih the team, or did the combo right.

Micromanagement help:
I set my control groups to 1-5, 6 being all units but prime.
Ctrl+1-5 will set the groups, double click a number and it should send you to that meepo, helping you jungle early.

Team Fights + Pro players.

Since meepo clones can't use BKB, you have to improvise, I recommend letting the initiator jump in first and once the first line of stuns and nukes are blown, Blink+Poof into the team fight, netting fleeing foes, or tackling their carrys.

Meepo is played by pro's as well, Notail does a great meepo play, and dendi is great as well.

Me playing Meepo

Please give me support as I'm a lonely skrubz. :)

Summary and backstory.

Hi, I'm a Merpo playa. Hehe, I started playing Dota 2 2 years ago, and played for 2 low level teams. I started playing Meepo as a 'Dare' kinda game and I learned how to blink poof from a friend. From there I decided to play more and more, until I decided to release a guide in hope others will be inspired to play Merpo as well. ;)

I hope you enjoyed my guide, I will take criticism easily, if you want to explode with anger for some odd reason, please make it reasonable, I want to make the community just a little better with A meepo guide so, I made it.

Enjoy! -CreamDog
