The New Grand Champions - Newbee

July 21, 2014 - Dota Team

If you would have been forced to make a bet today after the first round, you would have laid your money on ViCi Gaming. They dominated the first game. After, people were wondering if Newbee even would be able to squeak out a single victory.

Then Newbee did what they did all tournament.

They didn’t listen to the noise. The team that finished a lowly 7-8 in the group stage did what they do best – play great Dota.

They came roaring back and won three straight. The final game wasn’t just a win, it was a domination. This over ViCi Gaming, a team that was dominate throughout the entire tournament against every team but one… Newbee.

Today we crown a new Grand Champion and a new inscription for the Aegis.

Oh boy I wanted to cry
"When game is going full ******, you can only go with it. If you start going against it, if you start going half ******, you´re ****ing done for. When Aloha decides to go middle rubick you let him, and you start buying orb of venom on invoker. That's how dota works" -n0tail

I don't think anyone can deny they are worthy Champions after winning five Bo3's in a row followed by a Bo5.

Unbelievable run. Well played NewBee.
