Dota Underlords Tournament #18

We're happy to continue our series of weekly tournaments dedicated to Dota Underlords in cooperation with /r/Underlords! More information on prizes, rules and how the tournament will be played can be found below.

Registrations are open starting from today (October 24th) and will end Sunday (October 27th) at 17:30 CET / 09:30 PDT.

The Check-In period will begin as soon as the registration closes at 17:30 CET / 09:30 PDT. Players who have registered and have received the Tournament Entrant role from admin Hades4u#0754 will have to type "Check In - DOTAFire Username" in the #check-in channel.

Note: There will be a time zone change on the tournament day, 27th October, where CEST will turn to CET, meaning time will be rolled back one hour, make sure to be careful when checking the time!

The tournament will begin Sunday (October 27th) at 18:00 CET / 10:00 PDT.

How Can We Participate? You must have a DOTAFire account to be able to register and play. Don't have an account? You can create one here. Reply to this thread with your Steam Profile URL (example: https://steamcommunity.com/id/gabelogannewell) Join the Underlords - Competitive Discord and ping admin Hades4u#0754 in the #roles channel for the Tournament Entrant role. Check-in the special #check-in channel 30 minutes before the tournament begins by typing "Check In - DOTAFire Username". Good luck & have fun! :)

How Will The Tournament Be Played? The minimum number of players for the tournament to take place is 32 and the maximum is 64. The most optimal number of players for the tournament structure is divisors of 8. The tournament will take about 2 - 3 hours depending on the length of the matches. There will be a total of 4 matches. For 64 players: In the first round, there will be (8) matches with (8) players each. The top (4) players from each match will advance. In the second round, there will be (4) matches with (8) players each. The top (4) players from each match will play in the final. In the third round, there will be (2) matches with (8) players each. The top (4) players from each match will play in the final. Top (3) from the final match will receive prizes. Note: To keep the tournament quick and fun for everyone, for all the rounds excluding the final, players are asked to take a screenshot when there are only 4 players alive and leave the match so the tournament may proceed to the next round as soon as possible! :) Once the registrations are closed, the matches will be posted in this thread and announced in the Underlords - Competitive Discord server. The player who will create the lobby and have the responsibility to invite the rest of the players will be selected by the tournament administrator on the spot. Lobbies will be discussed only in the #lobbies channel so players can find them easily. Players will have 10 minutes from the time of the matches to join the lobbies and start. If any players do not make it in time, they will be replaced with other players present in the Discord server. If there are players missing in a match, the host must enable bots on Challenging difficulty (they won't be counted as winners, they're only there for balance). Winners must take a screenshot of the victory and post it in the #results channel. For convenience, it is preferred that you use your DOTAFire username when playing in the tournament both on Discord and Steam. :) The fastest way to ask questions or report issues is to contact Hades4u via the official Underlords Discord server.

Fine Print Registration starts today (October 24th) and ends in three days from now (October 27th). The minimum number of players for the tournament to take place is 32 and the maximum is 64. If more than 64 players register, the first 64 players that have registered will play. However, the extra players are free to check-in just in case there are available spots from the players that didn't show up. Don't give up! :) Open to registered DOTAFire members only. Not a member? Register now! Tournament is worldwide, anyone can participate! Prizes are awarded through PayPal. If PayPal is not available for the winner, we will find an alternative. Winners will be notified after the tournament is over and will have 7 days to claim their prize.
