Lore: Long ago among the higher peaks of unnamed mountains tribes grew and flourished in the harsh climate. Highly religious and technically advanced, the civilians of one certain village found an amazing discovery: by splitting the soul from the body and storing them within a holy chamber the villagers were unable to die. Word soon spread to other tribes, and were soon drunk with this power using it pillage towns below the mountains without the knowledge of cheating death.
It was not too long before Death, himself had caught word of the villages discovery. Angered by this violation of nature Death devised a plan. He stole all the villages souls and threatened them in broad daylight to stop this idiocy or he would kill them all and torture them eternally. So the villages bowed to death, but Death was not finished. He walked into the chieftain's house, picked up his infant son and extracted half of his soul and told the baby's father that the boy belonged to him and was his missionary.
And so The infant grew into the Reaper, Death's personal bodyguard, assassin, servant and apprentice, one that was not mortal but not human either.

Abilities (Disclaimer i havent put numbers here cos I'm not confident whether the maths would work out. Also yes i suppose this is a physical health based version for anti-mage)
Soul Rive (passive)
Does not pierce spell immunity.
Burns a percentage of the units health and deals physical damage equal to 60% of the health burnt.
Dash
Reaper jumps in a certain direction.
Range: 600/800/1000/1200
Mana Cost: 60
Cooldown: 7 seconds
(I cant think of a third ability that synergies with this kit can you guys?)
Soul implosion
Reaper violently rips the soul of the target causing it to implode and deal damage to the target
I know this is pretty much unfinished and I guess I should tell you this as early as possible. Buuut...
Try not to copy-paste from Anti-mage too much. It will make your hero look unoriginal.
Dash is too bland for a spell especially since there are already 2 heroes who have such a bland spell. My sugestion would be replacing this with something else. (possibly the one i'm suggesting).
His lore and title let me resurface this idea.
SOUL SPLIT:
Shares his own soul with an allied hero. 50% of all dmgs that hero will receive will be redirected to Reaper. And vice versa. The redirected dmg depends on level.
Damage transfered: 115%/105%/95%/85% (or something. You decide.)
NOTES:
Damage is shared before all reductions.
If you take a 1000 dmage nuke. You take 500 dmg while the ally takes 575/525/475/425 dmg. Also vixe versa.
Now he can be a tanky/support that can right click hard with his Q. That could set him apart from the rest of the hero pool.
Here's my two cents.
First of all, I love this guy's lore, although I'm not sure if Death is actually a character in dota 2. Still great though.
The name should be "It that Reaps". It sounds better (to me).
As delta17 has suggested, I think moving completely away from anti-mage might be a good idea.
Soul Split seems like a very good spell, however I have one recommendation. As the Reaper is likely a tank, focusing him will just end up killing whoever it was cast on. I think the spell would be better if it only brought damage from the target to the Reaper, always dealing 50% to the Reaper but having the amount of damage negated from the target increase with levels. My other ideas also will synergize with this.
The rest of my suggestions shift away from what he imagines, leaving the hero a carry at the cost of re-writing the hero more.
For the Q, it seems to be just an upgraded, damage only Feast and doesn't seem to synergize well with other spells as it only affects his attacks. I would suggest making it more like return, damage dealt to him is detrimental to the attacker. Here is my suggestion for a spell that may work.
Gaze of the Abyss (Passive)
The Reaper is at most attuned to his own state between life and death, and as such his wounds can be turned around and directed at others.
When the Reaper takes damage, a portion of it (before reductions) is stored in a buff. All of his attacks deal that much more damage to their victims (similar to Fury Swipes, but he has the buff and gains it from enemies damaging him).
Damage trapped: 20%
Buff duration: 5/12/19/26
This would be his main carry ability as it gives him damage while allowing him to focus on building into a tank; armor/hp.
As you know, dash needs improving. I feel giving him some form of movement might be nice however. This is inspired by his existing between life and death.
Between Planes (Active)
The Reaper enters a plane of his own. While there, he loses 4% of his maximum health per second as hp removal (can die, granted to enemy team as if a creep killed him), but moves with insane speed and cannot affect or be effected by anything except the terrain. The maximum duration, speed, and cooldown all scale down.
He is visible (but not able to be interacted with) while he moves Between Planes.
Duration: 3/3.5/4/4.5 seconds
Speed: 550/650/750/850
Cooldown: 34/26/18/10 seconds
Mana: 75
I think these spells would work well as there are no spells that allow you to move whilst hidden, and Gaze of the Abyss is a unique carry ability, leaving Feast uncopied and Anti-Mage's Q (can't think of the name) out of the picture, distancing him from the Anti-Mage.
I was going to write a suggestion for the ultimate (damage, then forces them to attack you) but realized I've already tried to rewrite this hero enough and have a bad habit of doing that and I need to stop.
Anyway hope you find inspiration from my ideas.

Also what if the ultimate related to the lore of ripping your soul out making you immortal, meaning it could be used as a finisher for enemies or as a powerful buff for himself or an ally (350/500/650 pure damage and then be invincible for 3/4/5 seconds?).

I take it the reaper should have a giant Sickle. So he should utilize that.
Here is an idea:
How about he swings his sickle is a 360 degree circle doing damage and knocking back enemies.
Also he is the reaper. He should be able to summon the gates of the underworld. It could possibly pull units in and if they are below a certain percentage of health it will kill them.
