If I were to look forward to any champs it would probably be Meepo or the Invoker... This is mainly because they require a skill level that just isnt seen in League of Legends.
LoL is designed for the casual gamer, and as a result the champions are stupidly easy to play.
Me wants something that takes skill to learn! -enter DotA2-
Almost every hero in DotA requires skill to *learn*, some might be a lot easier to understand than others but there is an never-ending skill cap. Perfecting your general mechanics of the game opens up new avenues for some champions and you learn to be able to do even more than you would just by mastering the hero alone.
A good example would be Night Stalker - just played by M5 in the tournament. His early game is based around night-time. You need to get those ganks out during night time, and he's considerably weak early game during the day. Using him, you'd improve your general awareness of the game, as you NEED to be able to know when to be ganking and how much damage you can do / take outside of night time early on to maximize your potential.
Lich would be a good example of a hero to get used to for denying which improves how well you control your lane and how well you can stop the enemy laner - he's essentially like Gangplank before deny changes in League of Legends - he's good at controlling lane, he has a skill that kills allied creep and refunds Mana which allows him to consequently harass the enemy laner more and more. Using Sacrifice as well as actual denying gives you a great feel for denying and you eventually become so used to it you find it a lot easier to do with any hero.

If I'm not mistaken that's kind of like Plague Rider in HoN, right?
Also: Looking forward to Tiny, too. I'm a total DotA/HoN noob but Tiny is an awesome name.
