I can last hit fairly consitently with str and high dmg agi heros but when I play more int based heros with low dmg I start struggling with last hitting because of their lack of auto attack dmg

Any tips to help me out?

If you're in a safe lane, consider buying 2x Slippers/Mantle (Depending on main attribute).

And you can pratice lasthiting, its not that hard once you get a hang of it.

Really depends on the hero you're playing, if you're Crystal Maiden for example then you probably want to time your attack around 60-100 depending on how far you are away from your creep.

Factor in how far you are away from the creep, how much damage your auto attacks do, how much damage that creep is taking, predict any attacks from enemy heroes, etc

Buying the primary stat items for that hero, or even a Blades of Attack. A lot of it comes down to practice and getting used to that hero's attack animation, though.

Well, the single things you can do to make last hitting easier is to buy more damage and practice your timing. Also, if you stay closer to the creeps, that might help, since the attack will land faster so the timing will be easier.

Practice and getting used to the timing of your hero's attacks is the main thing. Stats items are generally the best way to give yourself a bit more damage in the early game - Null Talisman is affordable from your starting gold, but will leave you short on regen items.

Be aware that a lot of intelligence heroes aren't designed to be carries though, so often you'll be in lane denying rather than last hitting. Is there a particular hero you're struggling with?
