Not necessarily always. It can be a suicide when used on the wrong hero, but can be devastating when used properly. That's why it is called 'Poor Man's Rapier'.

MoM is a situational item. Whosoever says its a terrible item is just a low-skilled player A usual wrong about another great item. It provides a mediocre escape mechanism but is a great dps booster. All you NEED is positioning and good game sense to make full use of the item.

well...its not that bad of a pick on heroes that profit from a good "nuber of attacks / time" -ratio, meaning that hero with a percentage (or number-of-hits) proc chance on their autoattacks are making the biggest use of it.... Spirit Breaker or Faceless Void are prime examples.

Personally i also like it on Sven in combination with a Black King Bar and a Deadalus since those cleave crits can tear a whole team down in a matter of 3 hits ....which is like a second with MoM.

What is also a mystery to me, however, is why do people pick it on heroes that dont really profit from more attack per time and are so squishy that they get 1 shotted due to the +dmg u receive. I am always happy when i see an enemy Sniper or a Drow Ranger get this item. They activate it, attack once and are dead.
