Ok so post TI2 he got nerfed so his movement speed and regen weren't so good, base damage nerf, and the adjustment to the force staff build (no more quarterstaff), why isn't he seen more?
Any one of you better players please shed some light, I'm practicing my *** off with him right now, and the flexibility to change your build as the game goes, and control tea fights in the mid game is just amazing still (I do like the new emp).
I can't see why this hero isn't upper echelon hero, minus the fact he's damn near perfectly balanced (minus his base movement, and dmg). I think a lot of this stems from watching Skash pubstomp Team Liquid with him. Any insight would be helpful.
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

In mid he lacks dmg without blades of atk and exort, also he gets destroyed by a good nyx/OD/TA. If he tries to combo, BKB will just null his spells. Also invoker isn't helpful till level 10 at least so he can't gank.

He IS getting seen more in the competitive scene, just not a top tier pick - usually works, but only against a laning opponent that's not too powerful such as a DK, Timbersaw, etc.
