It's also interesting to note and critical to stress that the zerg race from starcraft finds themselves, ironically, in too similar of a situation to go unnoticed...

Similarly, zerg are suppose to function as a race of extremes(directional), but instead finds themselves extremely torn to say the least.

I find it my responsibility to hold game developers accountable for these torn concepts in games supposedly worthy of e-sport quality competition.

In starcraft, it comes down to the most basic and essential wisdom which blizzard fails to take in to consideration for the zerg race and their prime units, the zergling amd the overlord.

"Don't make units unless you are going to use them"

The zergling, which must be made, was simply not ultimately valuable to the zerg race in broodwar. It was only potentially valuable behind the ultralisk and under dark swarm.

You were forced to make them, and you didn't find any worthy use for them.

The option of morphing baneling was supposedly suppose to correct this problem but it was only a single option which resulted in another torn concept... a unit with area of effect damage which is suppose to be good on mass units, but instead has bonus damage to buildings which indicates zerg should be sacrificing both units and gas on mineral only buildings.

Blizzard is wearing the mask of madness here folks, not me...

The only way that the zergling could have actually make sense, if it was capable of morphing in to units, is if it was capable of morphing in to virtually any unit, or at least a unit that has progressive and ultimate value.... Zergling to Mutalisk to Guardian, Scouter, to harasser, to Defensive Siege.

This actually makes a lot more sense considering that the Mutalisk is, believe it or not, the same size as a zergling, small. They share a special connection.

Hell, even the zergling being able to morph in to a spinecrawler would make 10x more sense then their current design.

The point is, the zergling, and the overlord, the most basic and prime units of the zerg race are completely missing their proper utility value to make them ULTIMATElY meaningful and useful.

As said before, the overlord occupies larvae with out significant enough utility value to give them that right. It is called the overLORD so how does it relate to the broodLORD? It's pretty clear that the overlord was suppose to act as an unloaded gun to load up zergling ammo and use to fire at the opponent in a very similar way to how the broodlord fires broodlings.

Zerg get screwed by their most basic units, the zergling and the overlord... you have to have to make overlords and so this pushes you in to figuring out some way to make significant use of their larvae cost penalty, which pushes you in to trying to mass drop which has fail written all over it.

It's the poorest and stupidest design I have pretty much ever seen and to think that this could even come close to qualifying for e-sport really has me questioning the intelligence of my fellow man.

I don't see your problem Kyfoid. Clinkz is a really good hero, he's not bad just because you're a bad player.

Funny thing is, even if clinkz was balanced, people surely aren't playing to what his potential strengths are... those being Cannon, and Tank.

I personally believe he is a tear between a cannon and a tank, and while I don't necessarily see a problem with this as the decided direction that he chooses to take, whether cannon or life leaching tank, escaping survivor, can be based nothing more then on what direction the opponents take.

I'm reminded of Kant's concept of modality.... which could be represented by a clinkz that could switch between two different sets of items/gear at any time based on the current situation at hand.

I'm not saying that's a realistic possibility but at least it gets across the idea of balance.

Until then, clinkz is obviously torn as he is, 3rdly, mana dependant to a good degree.

He might possibly survive competitively if he is played the right way, but there are some undeniable observations about his situation that could make the greatest competitive game designers raise an eye-brow.

Completely irrelevant. Nice waste of your own time.

When I say tank, I mean so as a durable distraction that uses skeleton walk at the last second to render attacks from the opponent as vein...

And when I say cannon, what I really mean is glass machine gun.

1) Just leave the 'tanking' to the true tanks, such as Centaur Warrunner or Axe.

If Clinkz REALLY has a problem with being zoned in on as if he was the true tank, he could build items such as Black King Bar or in the extremely situational deptartment, Heart of Tarrasque.

2)This is why Orchid Malevolence is built, the mana regeneration and the active silence helps him make less fountain trips and more time out killing targets who cannot retaliate given their position to their team and your rapid fire hits with Strafe.

Also, Starcraft has no relevance to this thread. You're the one who made the thread title, did you not?

Stay on your own topic, ple***e.

If you seriously think that agility heros are **** and all, and clinkz is UP or whatever. Play another hero instead of attacking this site and making an entire thread that just makes you look like an incompetent, ignorant ,socially neglected, self centered, butthurt player who has nothing better to do but blame all the game mechanics and other players and EVERYONE ELSE but himself for his failures. But ignorance is bliss isn't it?
