Applications Now Open!

Hey guys! We've decided to change things up a bit and allow applications for the Editor rank. With more Editors we can get DOTAFire updated more quickly from patch to patch, as well as respond more quickly to database error reports.

Whenever this thread is closed, that means that we're not currently looking for new Editors.



What are the duties of an Editor?

• to update the database whenever a patch is released
• to fix any errors found in the database
• to be an example to follow for the other members

To be qualified for the Editor rank, you must fulfill at least one of the following requirements:

• been an active user of our forum for at least 2 months or a long-time active member on a network website of ours
• have an Editor, Veteran or Moderator to vouch for you
• have contributed to our community; quality guide, insight, posts, etc.
• love DotA 2 as much as we all do!

I don't know about you, but I think either Goo or Tera should be an editor. I mean, they've been around for a long while and both have made significant contributions to the community.

Yup. They would deserve it. They worked pretty hard on dotafire.
I wonder if they actually want to do it though.

I vouch for them too. Fed would also be a good addition to the team.

I just... I want the keys to correct every mistake I see in the database so badly it hurts. Is that going to count against me? Someone vouch for me and reassure Hades I'm not a loon, thanks. :D

Yes but there's something innately satisfying about going in and fixing a mistake that I can't describe in words without sounding like a complete grammarphile.

I support the idea of nominating Safecyn (though as a plebian, I am not qualified to do so). I know he's good with details, and he's offered a lot of guides onto this site.
