Yasutsuna
I'm actually a little reluctant to write this. But, I feel so bored so I decided to do it anyway. Yasutsuna and Kurin are the names I use in DotA2. The current account I'm using is actually not mine, so the records and stuff are a bit... off.
VERSUS
Mm, I decided to go into more detailed about my opinion of LoL and DotA.
DOTA
Merits:
- Easy to learn, hard to master.
- An anti-leaving system, thanks to STEAM.
- Very competitive, many people playing, so challenge yourself!
- Teach you the Art of Teamwork.
Demerits:
- It gets boring after some time.
- STEAM is annoying as FUQ.
- Competitive matches tend to be rigid.

LOL
Merits:
- Bushes!
- Different gaming methods.
- AI seems smarter.
Demerits:
- A lot of leavers.
- Too many abilities, gets frustrating.
- Too many things to learn.

This is what I basically thing about the difference between Defense of the Ancients and League of Legends. No offence to both sides, I come in peace.
Anyone heard of Legends of DotA? It is a Warcraft III DotA game.
Both are easy to learn and hard to master, which is again subjective to the one playing it. You can definitely say DotA is harder to master but both games share this trait since in both games you have to memorize mechanics/etc to really get good at the game, understand where I'm going with this?
Both games have some sort of an anti-leaving system but the effectiveness of their own systems can be determined. Both games are also competitive and have many people to play against so again, you gave one merit to one game when the other game has it too.
"AI seems smarter", that's subjective statement you've made because I subjectively think Valve did a better job with the AI. Both games also put an emphasis on teamwork since this is a type of game where teamwork is required to win... at least in the higher bracket games.
One could argue the dynamic Fog of War system is better than a static method of concealment.
Both game get's boring after some time so that's again subjective. Both games have a lot of leavers, especially at low level games, so again not true and might be subjective to how you've played the games.
Steam being annoying is again subjective and it doesn't mean it's true. I can say the Adobe Air that LoL is ran on is annoying as hell since... well it's a game that's RUNNING ON Adobe Air.
How are the competitive games in DOTA rigid and LoL's scene is not? Again this is subjective to one person, for example I personally think LoL's competitive scene has been static for a very long time. Both games have a lot of abilities so I'm not sure how that warrants a demerit when both games consist of that.
Both games have too many things to learn so that's subjective to ones preference.
I know these might be your opinions but when you're going to compare anything to another, you have to be as non-bias and subjective as possible to make it a fair comparison. Please don't take anything I've said personally though since this comparison you've presented is unbalanced.
