Yesterday I had a damn good game lasting over 45 minutes. However I was 2nd highest in level in my Team... got to lvl 24 which I never made before because simply games were over until that.
Picked to the bot lane with the Skorpion... same story as usual... every time retreating after bkb or heal, not gaining XP and not last hitting. Was also immune to my advices.
Two on top lane which couldnt make it better than the little Skorpion. Only the big water melon guy was useful. So I decided to support the water melon and from that we had a good dame.
About Omni I have the feeling that around lvl 9-10 he turns into the support he should be around the time when you have the mana granting boots and the ring that turns health into mana. Latest at the stage when I got my ... It's senseless I cant remember any item names... however the thing that grants healing and armor to nearby allys when activated.
However I think that playin Omni with 3 bad players and 1 good player does not win matches...
I'm thinking about takin a semi-carry next time... but will pick Omni anyway again. :)
Of course he can ward and pull, every support can. Besides that, he has a passive slow, a free bkb and a heal that deals huge damage in an AOE.
But he's melee.
That means he can't harass, which is really vital to being a support. So you could focus on denying and pulling while your ranged carry gets the solo farm and exp. Problem is, most good carries/hard carries are melee.
Another option is to be in a trilane, which I think is the best option for omni. If you got 1 ranged support with you, he can do great.
OR he could go offlane, I don't see why not, only he's a support hero and going offlane as a support isn't that good.
He's a great support of course, and he can fight well early on but the laning is hard for him.
I do understand what you are trying to say, but this isn't the proper way to say it, but I have to disagree, omni is a very good support from very early on
also you rpobably cant get a good game out of laning SK and Omni together
