I recently made a copy of this deck http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/back-once-again-with-the-mill-behavior/ while working towards getting this http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/slave-to-the-grind-4/ but I don't have it yet for budget reasons
And this one http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/mr-darwin-would-be-proud/ I've had for a while and it is pretty damn OP
Anyone else want to talk anything about magic

Progenitor Mimic + Master Biomancer combo remains because that exponential combo has won me a lot of games in standard. Not sold on the Hydra, despite it being the world's best target for Simic Guildmage, and will probably drop Zegana because odds are she'll mill me half my deck if I actually play her.

My favorite deck right now. I spent quite a lot of time theorycrafting this one. It's an infinite mana deck that uses several combos to get it. The trick is to get all the right fetchs to reliably get the cards you want...ending in a 4-color deck with the greediest manabase ever. I'm pretty happy with the result, right now if it doesn't get heavily shut down the deck reliably wins turn 3 or turn 4.
I'm pretty disappointed by the new Innistrad edition though. Hardly anything playable. My last hope is that Thing in the ice is legit...and even then I'm not sold.
As if you don't love the new Sorin though. Well... maybe he sucks in Modern.
Nice format OSFrog.
http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/void-dancer-esper-control/ is what I'm running with. I'm going to turn my Simic deck full modern, which probably means adding disgusting Graft ********, as if I needed it with a Corpsejack Menace.
Have you seen Experiment Kraj + Gyre Sage + Gilder Bairn? Simply get a +1/+1 counter on the Gilder Bairn (Kraj can do it himself), and you've got infinite mana, which you then use to pump up, say, Elusive Krasis, and then swing for 800 trillion with a single creature. ****ing gross.
*this works in Commander too, and is scarily reliable if you're running Momir Vig as your commander.
You've motivated me; I'll rework my deck into modern, and we'll see whose evolutionary practices are superior!
I like to play Magic with a competitive mindset and test against good and optimized decks, but at the same time the game isn't funny if I don't brew eldritch abominations only I can make work. But no matter how fun they are, there's always a point where I get mercilessly crushed by the top tiers, yet I refuse to simply copy one of them. So I'm competitive only to a certain extent.
I love interactions and synergies between cards, especially creatures, due to how easy is to get them onto the battlefield. That's why I'm in love with Survival of the Fittest and I hated when it got banned from Legacy. Other cards I've had lots of fun with are Aluren, Food Chain and Astral Slide. I also liked it when I saw Dota has Leshrac as a nod to Magic.
The second list you posted is the most similar one to what my friend played in Standard when Zendikar came out. Are you following any specific format, or is it just casual play with friends? If it's the latter I could help you make the list cheaper.
