Armlet on everyone o.o
I had a game of that recently. They surprisingly did quite well. However they lost once they sold their armlets. Windrunner with armlet is amazing :L
I'm going to guess the team that went up against the armlets didn't have much CC or other disables.

People hate it so much o.o, but it's amazing for Vengeful Spirit and Batrider.
I think Dota 2 has really hurt people's creativity with the "Suggested Items" Panel.
It's really interesting seeing long time Dota (1) players building really creatively because they aren't told what to build.
Armlet on everyone!
yeah lol. it is actually ,now that i look back, suprisingly effective on some heroes.
obvious numeta alt account is obvious.
Armlet on everyone!
I think there's always room for experimentation and variation each game however much like Nubtrain said previously, the builds and guides you do see on here that have the high vote counts tend to be the most optimal.
Guides provide players information that have been accumulated over the years. Guides are meant to detail what works and what doesn't while also helping you understand that specific hero or playstyle better. When I started playing, there were no guides or at least I didn't bother looking up one and learned every mechanic through play which took a long time.
If guides provide non-standard builds that's great but the player writing the information must provide why it works and why you should try it. Plus a lot of the non-standard builds were already tested by a lot of veteran players, way before guides existed.
For example, I commented on another Shadowfiend guide that does not level Shadowraze and why it doesn't work well. It can work but is it optimal? That's what the majority is looking for when looking up guides, what works best. Everything else depends on how well the author has written the guide, how informative it is, structure, etc.
That's what I think at least :)
i agree with you entirely.
