As above, those are two Poison based Heroes. From what I can tell, Viper is more of a Carry (AD Carry, in LoL terms) and Venomancer is great as a Pusher. The Pusher type doesn't really have a LoL alternative though, as all auto-attackers are good at taking down towers on League.

Neither have mushrooms though! ;)
Actually, that's false. Some champions are FAR better at splitpushing than others, such as Teemo (easy to escape), Nidalee (self AS boost and impossible to chase her), Twisted Fate (huge TP range, like furion without treants, bonus damage to towers with W), Shen (large (used to be global) range team mate shield then teleports to shield, splitpush then joins fight when they initiate) etc, who are all picked because of that.
For someone who likes splitpushing, roll with - Broodmother, Nature's Prophet (jungler), Morphling, or someone. All are carries/semi carries that splitpush extremely well.
If you like the whole poison thing - Viper. Venomancer is played as a support and fits that role better, Viper is meant to do damage and get lane dominance against melee though, like Teemo.

Veno isn't really a pusher. It takes a lot of time to set up his wards. He can push, but not instantaneously like other good pushing heroes.
If you're looking for something like Teemo's mushrooms, there is an unreleased hero that has invisible traps. Lanaya. Gonna have to wait a month or two for her to come out, though.

She also has the invisibility passive when you stand still, same as teemo.

Oh I agree. I know there are individual champions that are better at split pushing, but there isn't a 'type', so to speak. Some of them are bruisers, some are carries, etc, no single 'Pusher' archetype.

Fair point. I suppose he's more of an anti-pusher, in that he can set up his wards quite quickly in one place if he sees multiple heroes converging on a tower.
