If it takes 10 minutes to lose then you're just pre-emptively giving up.

I still think it's selfish, you never know what could happen in the game and you shouldn't just ruin everybody else's fun because in your personal opinion the game's impossible to win. Those that haven't given up yet deserve at least some retribution.

I'm not saying to give up preemptively, I'm just trying to say in some cases there are reasons so "give up". I was just saying a round about time as of ten minutes, it's probably like only a few minutes, but I was just trying to get the point across.

One such reason could be that they the opposing team is just messing around killing and not ending the game even though they could very easily.

I agree with what you said, a comback could happen very quickly and without warning, even though you are losing terribly, but there are times where loss is imminent.

In which case minions will finish the job in about 30 seconds anyway so you might as well TRY to defend yourself.

There is absolutely no situation that is justifiable to give up. Ever. However lost you think the game might be, until the Ancient falls there is absolutely no reason not to carry on playing. If it gets to the point illustrated above, when you are dead, they will turn onto the ancient. If not, the creeps will finish it.

If it doesn't get to that point, which it likely won't, I'd really like to know why you sacrifice your team's hope for your inability to think between a binary "we are about to lose" and "we are about to win". If your team haven't given up hope, neither should you, there are another 1-4 people on your team who want to win it, why not you?

I didn't say that I would do this, I simply would not blame someone for staying in the base if the opposing team is trolling and not finishing the game when they could.

@Migs: Just for a point of reference, how long were you just standing in the base?

"yeah, happened to me once"
Hence, you HAVE done this.

"I think if the match is almost over"
So you think it's all right for others to do it but you wouldn't do it yourself? Doubtful.

The first thing I meant that it said that the match didn't count when it should have, and why is it doubtful? There are plenty of things I think are alright that I do not do. Some example of this are: I think it's alright to say smoke pot, or to drink alcohol, but I don't do them.

I was there for around 7-10 minutes tops.
