TL;DR Version: Single draft game, got Riki, started off by trying to play him as a roaming ganking hero, much like a Bounty Hunter, lost the mid game horribly, held our base mid-late game, enemy got megas late game, we won two fights in a row and took throne.
Yesterday was one of my more intense games of late. It was a single draft game, where I had to pick between Earth Spirit, Riki and Invoker. Not being comfortable enough with ES or Invoker, I decided to go with Riki.
Interestingly enough, our Phantom Assassin wanted the offlane, along with Ancient Apparition, so I ended up going safe lane with Luna. Gyrocopter went mid. Our lane had a decent early game, since for some ungodly reason, the enemy Phantom Lancer went mid, and left Brewmaster to offlane along with Nature's Prophet. I started off with Boots, and built an Urn of Shadows soon, since I wanted to play more like a roaming ganking support. However, our Phantom Assassin wasn't familiar with the hero, so she gave away a lot of kills in the early game. The enemy team (especially their PL) snowballed, and by 20-something minutes, we had lost mid rax. By this time, I was trying to transition to a semi carry since I had a bunch of kills, and it looked like PA would take a while to carry. By this point, she only had Phase Boots]. I built a [[Vladmir's Offering because we pretty much had 4 heroes that could benefit from it. Then, I built a SnY and Abyssal with my gold, and we held the other two lanes of rax for a while. Thankfully, Phantom Assassin gained levels and farm from the creeps that were pushing into our base on the two side lanes.
By about 45 minutes, we had a good PA. She went Phase Boots into Abyssal Blade, and then built a Battle Fury (mostly for dealing with PL illusions). Interestingly enough, no one on the enemy team except the PL got an MKB against the four Butterfly strat on our team. By this time though, we had lost all three lanes of rax, and our tier 4s. I already had my Butterfly by this point, so I ended up having to build a Battle Fury on a Riki just to deal with the mega creeps. After about 6-7 minutes of holding our base against megas and pushing them out, we won two teamfights in a row. PA was pretty big by now, so, after we teamwiped the enemy for a second time, PA, AA and I took their mid tier 3, and I went straight for their tier 4. PA and AA decided to join me after they had gotten the mid rax.
A pretty close game, all in all, I thought I'd share it here.
yup its a pretty intense game..but u have not mentioned about gyro n luna who had the most last hits..only luna have the real power to counter push..good thinking on your part to make battelfury and valds..but this is not just a victory for u three...dont just weigh a conteibution to kills assists...thats wat disencourages peoples to play supports
