I'm an average DOTA player since I started 2 years ago. Then there's this one day that I decided to bring it to a step further and wanted to have more competitive games as in "technical in depth games". So I gathered my friends whom I have played DOTA 1&2 for awhile hoping to have some serious games that can make way to any competitive environment.
However, they seem not to be inclined with the fact of stepping the game but instead, doing what they used to do, pubstomping with pub lucky get away proportions or getting pubstomped with dumb-old ways. Wish someone could help give points to my query as I really enjoy the game and wanting to share this to my friends or what I call "Team" to be more technical as well as enjoying the game.
Well if they are not that much into it then you are either playing with the wrong people or having the wrong goal.
To me it soudns like your team just wants to have fun playing the game and don't care a lot about going in-depth about the game mechanics.
This means you either have to accept that fact and be done with the thought or go and find like-minded people who share your enthusiasm and interest for the game.
