So the other day I was playing Puck solo mid in a normal online match. I always got so close to killing the Sniper I was up against, but he always got away behind the tower because he could attack from so far away. I decided to do something a bit unusual and I got Orb of Venom so I could slow him. It was the only slow I could afford at the time. I have to say, it worked really well. Taking down creeps was easier, chasing was easier, harassing was easier...
I'm not certain if this was just a good one-time choice or if this is actually a suitable item. Any thoughts/alternatives?
Code:
<span style="padding:4px;white-space:nowrap;background:#FF0000;background:-moz-linear-gradient(top,#4B0082,#0000ff);background:-webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom,from(#0000CD),to(gold));border-radius:4px 4px 21px 21px;border:2px solid white;4px;box-shadow:5px 5px 11px #000000; width:45%"> <span style="color: #ffffff; font-family:Copperplate;">Ninjablademaster</span> </span>
I think that even on ranged heroes orb of venom can be good, especially in 1v1 sidelanes since they are longer, but it could also be good in certain situations in mid like you described.
