I voted for Earth Spirit. That being said, I'm pretty godawful with him. I have teamed with skilled ES players, though, and it's so impressive to see him used well. I once played a game where we got really behind on towers and kills, and my team had sort of given up and started bickering with each other. However, ES was doing his thing and seemed to be at every gank and teamfight, making a huge difference. He pretty much created space for the carries to get a little more farm all on his own, and made the enemy team scared to fight us.

If Furion is the definition of map awareness, I think Earth Spirit is the definition of teamfight awareness. His skills are probably the hardest to aim and land under pressure, and it takes so many hours of practice before you can do it reliably.

Anyway, I also think Chen deserves a mention. You have to have good timing and knowledge of the jungle creeps to use him effectively, but when you do it really pays off. Pulling off combos with your creeps and your own spells to get kills and push towers is so much fun. Also, just watch Puppey and Akke play him. It's a completely different level.

I would like to say that as a noob I played invoker all the time. Yes, I did ruin many games, but in the end I think it made me a better DOTA 2 player.

-out of the heroes you have listed, IMO it would have to go to meepo or earth spirit.
-invoker i could imagine would be satisyfing but tbh i hardly ever play him, i see him in too many games already.

but i think the most rewarding hero to learn would have to go to visage, hardly anyone plays him, you need to micro properly if you want to unleash is full potential, and once you can play him EVERY enemy team underestimates him extremely. i always dominate with visage becuase noone sees it coming.
VISAGE!!!!!!@@@!!!
