I recently have been dedicating more time into improving my skill and with that, my mmr. Currently it sits somewhere near 2500. I play consistently with 2 freinds. When I play ranked all pick it seems that half the time there is no communication in the picking time and we never come out with a coordinated draft. My mmr will rise but I also lose plenty of games. I switched to playing captains mode cuz my mmr was going no where fast and it seemed to be because of these uncoordinated teams in a game that largely relies on team composition and planning. I insta lock captain cuz I'm a **** and pick a solid team and win 8/10 games. The two losses being when I picked ppl hard heroes that they practically demanded. My mmr shot up so much faster. I know it's a **** move to snipe captain every game but in this low mmr area I feel like people really need someone to pull a real team together for them. Does anyone else have this problem? I think a game mode like lol's team builder could fix this. What are your thoughts?
I'm not trying to be cocky or anything it's just I think that a lot of other people may restrict their mmr by making no plans before their game
I dont think its a **** move to instapick captain if you know what your are doing and you had succes with your drafs.
I dont know the lol picking system so i cant comment on that.
And yes, it can be hard to escape from low MMR becouse teams pick ******ed heroes, personally i dont want to play horrible ranked games at my current ~3200 MMR, so that that IF i win them i can boast a larger number, so unless they implement an MMR reset function i personally dont see a reason for me to play ranked ever again.
