Hey guys,

Just wanted to mention how ranked solo que is just ridiculous...

1: solo que should mean you come up against solo players

2: people who abandon the game should just become void and you should not lose rating

3: im not saying im the best dota player ever but most of the time my team mates are worse caliber than id find in normal Match finder.. i thought by playing ranked youd come up across people with more interest in winning... instead of everyone picking a mid character =.=

my question is... if i slum through the ratings of 2.7- 3.5k will it get better?

It won't get better.
You always loose some games because your team is feeding.
You always will win some games because the enemy team is feeding.

Just get over it and play on.

If you want to avoid those games, stack with friends.

If you can get high enough it will get better. But getting there is hard and takes work.

Just a suggestion, have you tried playing on different servers as they might give you people who are more interested in winning than those on your current server.
Your new diet for heroes; You will need 4 wards (cuz wards taste better), 1 set of tangoes, 1 mango, 1 cheese.
With this you can make a nice Tango Mango Cheese platter. You can wash this all down with a nice bottle of water, Can be flavoured with red, green, yellow, blue, purple AND GOLD!
Caution: Taking roshan 3 times is required.

First this seems to happen to players that are in the lower tier, say 2000~ i could be wrong. I'm in the high 3000 currently and i have not received any leavers in a long time.

If it becomes void then there will be players boosting their MMR by duo queuing with a friend and if the game goes poorly, the smurf will abandon and the other friend(s) MMR will remain untouched.

Thirdly, this doesn't target you but it may depending on your play style. Your team might not be the problem, maybe it's you. I suggest playing middle and creating a lot of space for your team to free farm 20 minutes. One of my techniques that i use when i play middle is, try to win my lane and if not i will try to par with them. As soon as i hit lvl 6 or 7 i just constantly gank top, bottom, and jungle if required and keep on rotating and creating space. If there is none, then i will return to lane and keep farming. The downside to this is that i usually lose middle tower.

Sorry, but i disagree on this. I only played 11 solo ranked games(not a lot, i know) and im at 4.1 k rating, so not lower tier. During these matches, I had leavers in my team, people who were wmad they didn't get midlane and started feeding intentionally, people picking multiple hardcarries and so on.
BUT, there are also games, where your enemy will do **** like that and then you win.
And that was my whole point: You always win some, and you always loose some.

There will always be players that have a bad day, make bad decisions or are just not that good.
But sometimes you will be that player yourself, thats just how it goes.

I played over 400 dota games but i did not play a single ranked game so far.

And honestly the problems that i see in the current pub matchmaking is really holding me back.
If you play solo in the current system the game can get very hard. You usually end up against stacks of people that are usually much better organized than the usual pub crowd. This makes no sense at all, if you look it players with high winrates they play in stacks with friends. Show me one guy how plays solo and has a decent high winrate?

The most depressing part is that when the ****ed up games also count as losses. I would guess that 1/3 of my losses are due to guys leaving the game in the first minutes. I played two games this morning:
Game 1: One guy in my team left during the picking period and did not reconnect. After the 5 minutes ran out the rest of my team also disconnected. This counts as a normal loss for me lol?
Game 2: Had three feeders on the team, rage chatting started 5 minutes into the game. After 10 minutes the first one left. Also this counts as a normal loss =).

I dont see that i will ever get a positive win/loss ratio of i continue playing solo in pubs. The ratio of games where it even matter what i am doing is too damn low (or at least i feel its that way).

Currently the only way to have fun here is to get some friends, stack with them and stomp the other unlucky solo-q guys =). Sometimes you end up stack vs. stack and these games can be really fun.

The solution would be to always stack with friends. I guess i need more friends =).
But then again this is the reason i do not start playing ranked.

a lot of the time the negativity can just demoralize your team to the point of no hope. you can be down 0-5 in 5 mins and the potential comeback is up to how your team handles the situation.

if you are raging at your team telling them how bad they are and refusing to help them becuase "i dont want to die" then yes you'll probably most likely lose but..

if you are urging them to not give up and to play passively while also helping out by counter ganking with your own tps and keeping an eye on someone that might not be doing the greatest then you do stand to have a greater chance of winning.

yes ive ran into a few trolls at 3800 hundred but the simple fact is there are going to be immature people in every video game but for the most part it does get better guys.

if you are 3500+ ill be happy to play some ranked or reg idc: Canna Gives No F**ks
