Need a mentor for Invoker

Hello there,

I've found recently out that I'm much into playing Invoker.He is versatile and fun to play.I've been playing Dota2 for almost 800hours now,so I'm not the biggest noob. :) I also know all his spell combos (and basic strategys like Tornado+Meteor,Cold Snap+Spirits),but I'm having big troubles finding out what spells to use in teamfights.I feel like I'm always using the wrong spells and because I think so much about it in fights,I react pretty slow to the situations.

I'd be glad about any coaching to become better with Invoker!

Ok so to start, you do have about double the time that I have of play time in Dota but I do consider Invoker to be one of my best Heroes.
Maybe we can both help eachother out in different ways.

In team fights, depending on if you have scepter or not, and if invoke is maxed out yet, you should be able to at least get 3 if not 4 or 5 spells off in a matter of a couple seconds.
I enjoy these different combos when team fighting:

emp + tornado invoked, with meteor ready to be invoked. Cast emp, then tornado, invoke meteor, cast meteor, invoke deaf blast, cast blast, then from there use your best judgment to determine which spells you'll invoke/use next.

have tornado plus sun strike invoked, with meteor to follow up and then deaf blast immediately after meteor. tornado will lift up multiple targets, but sun strike in this case is just to target the main enemy you'd like to kill first. then meteor and deaf blast right after in order to disable them while letting them roll with the meteor for some good dps.

typically I run around with cold snap and sun strike at the ready, with whatever spell i think ill be needing to invoke at the ready for invocation. especially during early game when you dont have the ability to invoke spell after spell with swiftness.

I use the invis spell as a getaway, but also sometimes I will go into a fight already camouflaged, with 2 spells at the ready as well as orbs ready for another invoke.

I know there is many more possibilities for invoker but thats a start. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have and I'll do my best to help you out.

Also don't be afraid to make a mistake or two when invoking new spells to use or actually invoking and casting with quickness. the worst that could happen is you learn from it, and in future games you are less likely to make the same mistake again. With invoker you definitely have to be careful when it comes to initiating because sometimes its best for your team to initiate, especially if the other team knows you are a definite threat.
In the case that the opposing team knows that you are decent with invoker, going in camo is a great idea, just because they wont be expecting a emp + tornado + meteor + deaf blast combo thus meaning they are more likely to bunch up and ******** your team that initiated - which is perfect timing to start your combo.
