Can't connect to dota network...

Does anyone have the same problem?
I'm trying to play together with some of my friends but neither of us can connect to the dota network, we're connected to steam tho.
We are on seperate internet connections so that can't be the problem.

Is the server overloaded or is this an internal issue?
Something we can fix ourselves or do we have to wait?

Does anybody have more information about this?

Same for me, can't trade either because i can't choose my dota inventory when trading. Got connected to the dota 2 network after a little while but still couldn't trade and cant search for games, click on find match and nothing happens.

There's a good chance that Steam is having some issues due to the summer sale bombarding their entire network with eager users trying to buy the hot sales of the day, give me a few minutes and I'll find out for myself and get back to you two.

Edit: Just checked it out, the match find seems to be working as well as the store and such, but I never tested the trading, trading is 100% Steam side and if you can't trade its because you're either lagging or the server is backed up. Give it a few minutes to trade, and restart Dota2 to play.

Everything seems to be working for me now.

It happens sometimes, but it fixes itself. Nothing to worry about.

Hmkay thanks, it was pretty annyoing actually.
We all wanted to practice our team skills and (ofcourse) the moment we want to start,
this happened. Eventually we ended up playing 1 or 2 matches, instead of playing all night long.
Bummer :P
