Should server access be resticted to home Country?

So why can't Dota restrict server access to your home Continent?

I'm so sick and tired of playing with non-english, non-give a **** players.
That prepubescent "it's just a game" trolling **** makes me want to punch a kitten! Seriously though, why are russians and brazilians allowed to play on US servers?

I'm done qq'ing....

=\ Most the people I play with are from EU, regardless that I live in the US.

While this might have some appeal to you, this is one of the main reasons I left LoL, just because of the separated servers and the need to create smurfs in order to transit between them.

Also trolls don't have a country.

No.

If you don't like playing with randoms, get some friends to play with.

Wise words. This hits the issue completely.

If you have problems playing with Russians or generically non English-speaking players, just get some friends: you can either do so by asking on Steam groups (for example DOTAFire Steam group) or in Dota chat channels (like purgegamers); I've found some good players in groups and channels of my same country (Italy), too.
Long story short: when you'll find some players to team up with (and there are many ways to do so), you will even hope to get Russians... On the enemy team.

I live in Jamaica. Am i supposed to get queued with the handful of people that play DotA2 here?

Queue times would be nonsensical.

Stop with the thinly veiled racism just because you don't like getting matched with Brazilians or Russians or Chinese or Phillipino's, this is a team game, and a huge part of getting good is learning to be good, no matter how **** your teammates are.

I'm new and even I know this.

I wouldn't actually consider it racism for getting frustrated on people who can't even speak basic English in North American servers.I'm Canadian who always plays on North American servers, there's usually always at least one person who lacks speaking basic English.Zachtheknife,it's difficult to have a team game when your teammates can't even communicate with you efficiently
