Camera lock?

Hey guys, new to dota and RTS games infact. So far i'm enjoying the amount of learning that is involved to get good at this game, how ever my main probs atm seem to be control of my player as far as moving him around the map and moving the camera.

Is there a way to lock the camera on you? I keep losing my player alot lol.
I also have trouble retreating and always seem to misclick directions and what not, are there any tips'n'tricks for this?

Any other info as far as hero movement and camera usage would be really appreciated also.

Change the F1 bind (centering screen on your hero) to more suitable place like space an then just double tap space and hold to make your camera follow hero. Useful when blocking creeps. Single tap will just center camera on hero. It's also useful when microing with heroes like Nature's Prophet cause it unselect all controlled units so you can move withoud being afraid of moving your treants.
