carries Lifestealer because he has a built in bkb and is still quite effective at early game. Phantom Lancer because as well has early game and he only really needs a diffussal. Luna again, early game. also she can buff the damage of her entire team and can push really well. Gyrocopter he can be very useful early and can farm fast thanks to flak cannon. Chaos Knight he has high ms high base damage and is naturally tanky, also his ult combined with his rift and a crit, usually splatters a squishy support. Sven he crits just too hard thanks to his ult and a daedalus Tiny he has 300 damage with no items, 'nuff said
as you can see, all of these heroes have good early game and that is really important because the meta revolves around pushing towers fast to get map control and gold advantage.
supports Leshrac he pushes towers like a madman Rubick he can steal spells and counter initiate effectively Dark Seer he is such a great solo that can get loads of farm with ion shell and has an escape mechanism.
windrunner again, good solo, pushing potential, amazing stun when done right that can disable 2 heroes for 3.75seconds. Tidehunter amazing ult Enigma amazing ult Keeper of the Light good pusher/ anti pusher and can deal huge damage in lane Io can destroy with the right team mate
utility/ semi carries/ mid
Queen of Pain dominates her lane easily and has an escape mechanism Bounty Hunter track is very good and gets a gold advantage on your team Magnus awesome ult and can buff up a carry for crazy damage Puck can evade skills, really hard to kill, silence and a good ult that allows that enigma to do a 5 man black hole Templar Assassin can dominate lanes and is invulnerable for 6 attacks. Batrider very annoying and if he gets lots of sticky napalm stacks on you, you are in trouble. get a magic stick against him
ok there are more but i cant remember them right now but this gives you a good idea.
Nyx Assasin is currently a very popular support on the pro scene for his stuns and his ability to assasinate enemy supports easily.
Clockwerk has started to comeback very recently. he has massive initiation range and is able to solo long lane
Dignitas play warlock every so often, who has great teamfight with fatal bonds and his ultimate, and is very sustainable in lane with his heal.
Its really dependant on what the current meta is and it changes constantly.
One thing about chaos knight is tat his low end damage is about 30 dmg lower than the high end
he is popular because reality rift will trigger wisp tether stun, and he can add a large stun to that.
Dignitas also picked a Spectre... Bane is a choice due to his nightmare which disables a hero making it 4v5 and fiends grip which is another disable Undying is making a come back as his tombstone and ulti rip apart teamfights pretty easily Tinker Once farmed, he is the best split pusher in game. plus he can infinite hex once he gets it and nuke down heros like crazy. Storm Spirit Hes a pretty rare pick but some teams might get him. He is a great roamer and can kill easily Brewmaster The ulti can do crazy amounts of damage in teamfights and he can make opponents miss with his w and is a good tank
Chen - Very aggressive hero, great gank and push potential
Enchantress - Very aggressive hero, great gank and push potential
Alchemist - Old school Chinese carry. His item build can vary depending on what you want to win
Lina - Pretty much the same as Nyx, great ganker and does a ton of burst at level 6.
Lone Druid - Can fit into any team line up and go into game lane. Once he gets level 5, he can push down towers and team fight very well.
Nyx Assassin - Great roaming hero, very annoying to deal with once he gets level 6. He's also super hard to kill.
Weaver - Super annoying hero in team fights and very hard to kill. Can do a lot of damage with little farm.
Disruptor - His Glimpse is incredibly strong. If you try to TP into a team fight, he can send you back home.
Faceless Void - His Chronosphere is a super annoying spell to deal with. He can lock down all carries with this ability.
Shadow Demon - Can be played either in a aggressive or defensive tri-lane. His Disruption can be used to set up kills or save his team mate from dying.
Night Stalker - He can take over the game if he snowballs. If Night Stalker can get level 6 before the first night game, hes probably going to gank and become super annoying to deal with.
