For a long time after I started playing dota 2 I have wanted to enter pro or semi pro tournaments with a team. I have been studying and training for dota 2 tournaments everyday for months. At the moment I am aware that I am not ready yet, but I am determined. And once I set my mind on something like this I go through with it to the end. Anyway, call me a fool for asking about this information with my glass only half full, but how would I work my way to the top, What steps would I take, do I need to recruit and form my own team or could I make my way onto a team that is already in the semi pro leagues to begin with, if I can't form a team that is capable and determined like me than what do I do, could youtube be an option to help me earn a dota 2 opertunity, how did guys like Purge get to where they are today, and how did navi and IG prove themselves enough to get to the top.

I can improve my skill enough to do it, but idk what to do after that. Please if you can answer my question tell me what steps to take and answer my question about YouTube cuz after I get my directions it's gg.

Sign up for small community cups like the one we had here a while back. Then, sign up for bigger ones as you get better.

Like daPhongster said, look for random small tournaments that are open to the public. Start playing, and trying to make a name for yourself. Streaming can help get recognition. Eventually you will be playing the same people over and over in your bracket, and you will get to know them. Add them, offer to participate in scrims or ring for team members. Add every good player you meet.
