I love playing heros like Windrunner who can just constantly put lots of heat and pressure on an opposing lane hero by using their abilities and I was wondering what other heros have good kits that allow for lots of pressure?

Batrider - Spamming Sticky Napalm and dealing a lot of damage.
Templar Assassin - Easy harrasing with Refraction and Psi Blades.
Queen of Pain - Spamming Shadow Strike.
Death Prophet - Spamming Crypt Swarm.

There are more, these are the first that came in my head.

Lone Druid is awesome at applying pressure who gets often overlooked,
Tinker is great at applying pressure
Disruptor is just a pain in the *** to lane against, great without farm and best rune control period

I was laning against an Enchantress in the middle today and found it to be extremely annoying. I was not ready for the presence she brought to the middle. Maybe it was the player and not the hero, I dunno...

She dies easily, burst damage is her worst enemy, a Lion or Lina can take her down in two spells or even one.

Most heroes with an AoE nuke can do work at pushing the lane, which forces you to decide between exp or a potential rune. If you ever leave lane then you get tower damage.

Death prophet or rhasta are great examples of this -- pushing with a nuke and if you leave lane there's an ultimate for your tower.

There's also heroes with good lane control, for example, TA has refraction, psi blades, and traps to make mid an easy win. Bat has napalm spam. OD has imprisonment spam. QoP has dagger harass. Siren has riptide harass. I also find pudge a pretty scary hero to lane against as one hook and you've lost the lane.
Feel free to check out my guides for Spectre, Dragon Knight, Siren, Medusa, Sniper, Disruptor, or Void. They're pretty cool.

Lion, because he can spam his Stun.
Techies, because if they are good, you'll blow up in a matter of seconds.(MID TECHIES WORKS)
Huskar, because of Burning Spears
Viper, because of Poison attack.

It's up to your capabilities, but I believe the strongest solo mid is QOP, Templar Assassin, and Batman.

Why has Razor not been brought up? Essentially he can out last hit anybody and deny everything, he has major AoE and can shutdown any auto-attacking mid like Bloodseeker or Slark.
