Questions

I have played a lot of different lane pushing games. I started out playing HON in closed and open beta and was pretty decent. Took a break for a few years and came back to play it and realized there is no community there anymore. So, I noticed this was out, but had to wait for invite. Then I remembered LOL. I played it in closed beta when it first started and it was kind of noobish, but still I decided to play it while I waited for invite.

Now my question is, is this game compared more to HON or LOL? And what is the normal metagame more similar to?

Well LoL's meta hasn't changed since the game came out so I would compare it more to HoN.

It's more similar to HoN, IMO.

League of Legends = DotA for kids

HoN = DotA with other interface, graphics, and names.

Actually, I have over 1600~ wins on League of Legends, I know very well how the game is, trust me.

The LoL meta is stale as hell but it isn't that stale. It's more accurate to say that the meta hasn't changed since the beginning of season 2, but to be fair that was a REALLY long time ago.

Out of curiosity, what is it that makes LoL so much easier/simpler/whatever than this game?

I keep hearing that over and over, that LoL is like a more "casual" version of Dota, but havent seen too much explanation for it yet. Havent had a chance to try LoL yet myself either, though sooner or later I likely will.

Easier farming. ( Denying creeps doesn't exist there )
Easier xp gain ( You gain XP much faster )
Easier characters to play ( Trust me, I know both games very well )
Higher gold gain per second
Cheaper items
Fast games ( average 20-30 minutes )
Runes and masteries, making the game way too easy and unbalanced


And some more stuff, it's not worth trying that game though, the company ruined it, and they care about the money more than they care about the players.
