I was once joined LoL
but it freezes my computer every single hour playing
i rage quitted and join DotA

but i do think DotA has more content, many factors to determine the winner of the game
making it fun to play

in LoL, almost every hero is a Carry due to Ability Power

I may have missed something, but have your friends tried Dota 2? They might like it.

But if you want to dedicate and go competitive, it seems more logical to me that you play Dota 2, known for being "hardcore", and if your friends want to play a round or so, go ahead.

I am not a huge fan of LoL, but like yourself I went from Dota --> Hon --> Dota2. I think Dota2 is the next big thing and everyone else will begin playing it when it comes out.
