I agree. There's no need for it in many situations, and doesn't help whatsoever.

If it doesn't help your team. Don't say it. There's nothing forcing you to open your mouth or press that enter button. It does nothing for you or your team. Nothing but get everyone down. If someone has anger problems and can't keep their mouth shut then I won't play with them, it's as simple as that.

Look forward to participating in some of these!

Awesome. I have one suggestion though: I think normal people (non-editor) can create tournaments, but they cant be super high scale, or have a large prize pool. So kinda like a fun tournament just for fun. Ideas?

I really don't think any of these will have prize pools, nor any will be high scale. They're all going to be enjoyable matches.

I think giving too much power to non-editors (which is a base rank, too - it's not like it's moderators only where only one or two can do it) would mean anyone can create one and just troll people, they don't need any establishment in the community, whereas if an Editor does that they can be demoted.

Raging is a part of the game in my opinion. Everyone rages. No matter how mature or good you are, you'll still rage :p.

We will still have fun anyway. ^^

SO TRUE! :D

Also there are no prize pools at the moment. Like Xenasis said these matches are meant for meeting / playing with other people in the community and improving as players, moreso than being super competitive.

I'm pretty excited overall. One I get to meet new players who I hope are cool enough to add me on steam thus increasing my chances of playing in groups and getting rid of those awful pub matches where you pick a carry and then there are four picked right after...and so. Two, who doesn't love dota? I mean really... that's like Tidehunter not liking plankton, or krill and what have you.

Well, nevertheless, I hope this'll be a great thing to have. I'm looking forward to some awesome tournaments.

Oh, another idea, where would you just get together and play a game just for fun? The Dotafire Steam group?

Ya, I'm always looking for people to play with. It seems like when things go bad in pubs people play the blame game and that just ruins my day. I can handle a loss but the in team bickering kills me.
