I apologize beforehand, I do not know how to code at all. Also, my math may be off and make this character too powerful or underpowered, Ideally the abilities are the core concept.
Lore
The Master Of Deception has no name. Trained as an assassin with the ability to take the guise of anyone, being able to copy their mannerisms, voice and physical appearance. Born as a street rat of the city of Kraydon, this young boy would eventually be taken and subjected to years of intense training and drug therapy to morph him into the ultimate shape changing weapon.
No free, The Master Of Deception begins his/her new life being able to take the form of anyone, he is finally free.
Master of Deception is a ranged Hero wielding a Pistol
AGI: 21 - Primary
INT: 18 - Secondary
STR: 15
Attack Range 400
Damage 15-20
Movement 295
Roles: Ganker, Pusher
Abilities
Deceptive Guise
Select A target creature or unit (cannot be a structure) you channel and take the guise of the targeted creature, for the next 20 seconds you appear as that creature while keeping your stats, items, and abilities. While your guise is up, NPC will not target you, if you appear as an ally. I.e. if you take the guise of an enemy hero, enemy towers will not target you but ally towers might.
Channel 8/6/4/2
Cooldown 30 seconds
Mana Cost: 50/55/55/60
Range 650
Duration 20/25/30/35
Assassination
The first attack you make against an ally of the target (under Deceptive Guise, Greater Diguise) has an increased damage multiplier of x1.5 damage additionally you slow the target for 2 seconds as you slice into a vital body part.
Passive
Range Touch
Damage Multiplier 1.5/2/2.5/3
Slow 2/3/4/5
Assassins Training
Your extensive training has made you agile and harder to hit. You can activate this ability to scale a wall or walk through trees, this activated ability lasts for a duration but will keep providing a passive ability.
Range Self
Active Ability Duration 3/4/5/6
Mana Cost 50/55/60/65
Passive abilities
Runspeed 10/15/20/25
Evasion 1%/2%/3%/5%
Greater Disguise
While you are near enemy structures or enemies you passively gain the appearance of an enemy near you (this ability only works if there is an enemy creature within a range of 400) It also does not change your appearance to an enemy hero. Attacking breaks the illusion.
This hero looks like an interesting concept but is in my opinion poorly executed.
Mostly this comes down to his ult: it literally does nothing. Its like monkey kings' disguise thing, but you can't hide by standing still. To change it, I think will require a complete rework of the ability; adding some extra effect to it won't be enough imo.
Also, his Q has way too long channel times. Better maybe as 3/2.25/1.5/0.75.
As personal changes I would make, maybe (because I'm a control freak) as food for thought:
Deleted thanks to safecyn; he's right. On normal posts I feel like suggesting broad changes are okay because it could be interesting to spark a discussion or you might give someone an idea they never considered. In a contest its different.
"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster... when you gaze into the abyss the abyss also gazes into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche
First, I would recommend against suggesting such broad, sweeping changes to another user's contest entry, just on principle.
Second, I disagree on a factual level. I don't believe this hero is underpowered in the slightest. The ultimate is basically like a Jinata timer for the hero's massive 300% crit, and by level 2 of it the hero can keep a single target slowed 100% of the time. At range. The move speed and evasion bonuses of the third skill are low, but they're more additional benefits to a skill that gives unobstructed movement for six seconds, rather than the actual draw of the ability.
There are a few things that OP should clarify to get a more accurate read of what the hero is capable of doing, though, and I'll list these now:
1) What's the slow% of the slow applied by Assassination?
2) What is the cooldown of Assassin's training?
3) Does the bonus damage from Assassination apply to structures? Currently, the wording is 'The first attack you make against an ally of the target', and towers and structures are generally considered allied units to they're team. That makes the hero have ratting potential especially with something like a Deso.
4) Is the cooldown for Greater Disguise frozen while the hero is in the disguised state? Under my current understanding of the hero, he should be able to, from level 6, cast Q, attack a hero and crit, and if Greater Disguise is off cooldown, immediately cloak again and get another crit. With level 4 Assassination you're dealing 600% of your normal attack within a second or two. Which is terrifying. And one of the main reasons I'm saying this hero isn't underpowered in the slightest XD.
5) Does ONLY attacking break the disguise? Under the current description of the hero, that seems to be the case, which gives me all sorts of ideas about shenanigans that can be pulled.
Anyways, best of luck!
