Want to play an agility hero...

Want to buy pure damage items... (even on support hero for %$#%$ sake, seriously nobody but I buy mek, or even shiva's guard: i am talking about disabler/tanks/support btw)

actually the even better question is, why does everyone i play with want to play carry? lastly, will this persist on higher level elo i am relativity low right now (sorry, my league brain is on, i mean higher level matchmaking) because it's really funny how i move on to dota just to get away from all those massive amount same carrying champs/heroes but ends up playing with more carry (i am not talking about what the game offers btw, i am talking about why people always selecting these heroes/champ)

and yes yes i know, almost every hero can carry to some degree.

it might sound like i am hyper-venting my loss towards my team.... actually yes i am venting my loss towards my team even though some of it is my fault.

also HI I AM NEW HERE

EDIT : i also might post this on the wrong section... move it if must

Because everybody once saw Riki (or any other agi) carry 27-2
Higher score means larger ***** in moba, I thought we established that!
That's why I play agi mostly! lol

Well for the most part the carry is the most depended on player, and by nature people are want to be needed or helpful. But for myself I prefer support heroes, I think it feels better to help people rather than lead the team. It all depends on what role works best for you.

Because everyone wants to get kills, win the game and feel good.

Simple as that, lol, they think damage is everything.

It's because of a lack of trust. People don't trust each other to be a good support and to play well, so they try and win the game by themselves. This still exists through the mid levels, but drops off on the high levels. At the highest level of matchmaking, most people random.

Chen is a great jungler, I like playing him, but if you don't have a good team, it's a fail.

As someone said above, people don't trust each other, only if they are premade, if you have 4 other friends to play with on skype, it's great, you know who plays support, carry, mid, etc.

Easiest way, also coordination and teamwork will be better with a premade of 5 friends.

That can be easily argued, don't get me wrong a carry is important, but each role is a role for a reason. I also tend to play supports, not because I like to play support, but because the lack of skill within DoTA2 matchmaking forces you to play 4-carry teams. SMH half the times I start a game, I find it almost unfair that we get paired with a certain level of players. I am willing to teach, but sometimes it is impossible to teach. (ex: when you're 30min into a game and the only time someone says something is when an ignorant player asks why the game is paused when clearly 2 people have DC'd.)

To put it in simple terms, people want to feel like they are "the team" by picking carry they can (not meaning they will) effective rape an enemy team by themselves. What most people don't know is that the rest of there team helps them get to that point. Thus most low mm Players think the following Carry>Semicarry>nuker/disabler>support I'm sad it's this way but it is
Death is not the end only the beginning of something else.
