IS THE OCTARINE CORE BROKEN ??

I think people don't use the item to its full potential yet.

The spell lifesteal honestly isn't that good. It's decent on Leshrac and Death Prophet, it's stupid on Bristleback, but on other heroes it has essentially no impact, because the only point of lifesteal is to manfight and heroes like Necro or Zeus can't manfight anyways.

No, the real benefit of this item is the cooldown reduction of *every skill and every item*. That's the real overpowered part about it. It reduces the cooldown of ultimates like Black Hole. AND it reduced the cooldown of Refresher Orb by 50 seconds. So it's awesome on every ultimate-dependent hero just to reduce his ult cooldown. I played octarine Doom once, was awesome, double Doom was always up when I needed it. So core late game item on Refresher Orb heroes : Enigma, Tide, Mag, Necro...
It's also a huge buff to Death Prophet, because she can now have a short ult cooldown like she used to before the nerfs. If I ever see a Bloodstone DP in this patch...I'm going to flame his *** :)

The awesome thing about this item is that it gives HP and mana ( Soul Booster is an insanely good item), and it reduces cooldowns. So it's a perfectly viable option on lots of heroes for this alone. Imagine this item on Axe, for a 7.5 second cooldown Berserker's Call and 9 second cooldown Blink Dagger? Yes, it's probably as broken as it sounds. Or as a late game item for carries like Chaos Knight.

It's a pickup that's stupidly strong on some heroes, but there are very few of those heroes.

I mean, you're only getting it on casters. They don't get a lot of farm unless you're going position 1 Leshrac or Invoker. Its 5900 gold. No caster is gonna be getting it in a stage of the game where it is truly broken.

It's one of the good items, but one of the least picked up. I personally only consider getting it on involer... I've seen it on Bristleback, but I think he can get much better items for less money. It's an interesting concept.

It's good on heroes who have either massive amounts of AOE magic damage (Like Zeus or Leshrac, and Bristleback if you are having fun, and Outworld Devourer technically) or who have really good spells and really benefit from the cooldown reduction (Like Invoker, and in my view Phoenix)

But it's definately not broken. Broken implies it's good on every hero, like pre nerf Glimmer Cape

As others have said, not broken but a very good item on certain heroes.
If you can get a good start on Leshrac it is a riot! This game i played recently i was mid vs a Death Prophet. It was fairly even, i did a bit more roaming so our tower took some damage and she got some more CS, but when i pushed. Oh boy. Got a quick Bloodstone, went into BKB, and then Octarine Core. In the end i was running around their base with 3/4 heroes around me with my ult turned on and they just couldn't kill me.

The item was WAY overhyped, it's good, but not nearly OP as people said.
First of all, it costs 5900 gold, that is a lot.
Secondly, you get it as a 3rd or 4th big item and by the time you get that the game is usually done.
Good heroes with it are OD (he is the best carrier IMO because it affects his ult cooldown by a lot and gives him insane lifesteal), Leshrac, Zeus, Lina (they don't really need the cooldown reduction, but the lifesteal on them is good.
Also, it's worth buying as a last item on heroes with massive cooldown (enigma, tide...).

on certain heroes it is broken on others it's really weak.

Bristleback can make good use of this item as long as he has his passive. because you get so much more sustain from the sprays (but silvers edge counters bb really well)

its good with invoker, i've made it in a couple of games.

Real handy when playing against those presurry kinda team lineups
